Um, er, will this sim include a target lock feature??

Yes, I'm a Fighter Ace guy and can't fly keep up with the action worth a hoot without my "padlock"

Just wondering.

I know what you mean being a F16 pilot
myself but must admit there is nothing
like jumping into the seat of a WWII
fighter and flying by the seat of your pants .....
It something to do with almost being able to see in to the eyes of the guy you are about to kill
That adds to the game play all i can say is if this game come even close to warbirds it will be a game and half

Not a flame really...
I think that you have to have ability to keep track of the con without artificial help. One of the first parts of WB that new pilot has to master is ability to keep an eye on con at all the times... padlock is a "unhistorical"   while pilot could keep track of con when he's in view,  he coundn't do it thru the floor of the plane
One of the best things to do in dogfight in WB is to fly in enemy's blind spot   If he losses sight of you in fight and it takes him 3 seconds to reaquire - that's your oppurtinity

Good way to practice it is to fly offline over a field and try to keep looking at it while doing manouvers.

There isn't any padlock.  In any rate, ozreckons it would be more of a detriment in a multi-plane situation to only be paying attention to one of them.  One of the best things you can do is master the view system and keep a constant rotation in place, so much harder to surprise you that way, and it makes following the nme that much easier as you know where he is in relation to you.

I hope not!

Who ever originally decided that WWII flight sims needed a jet age crutch should have been taken out and shot by the rest of the development staff, and the sim fans as a whole.

Sure it's easy to keep an opponent in view if you have the computer doing the work for you, personally I hope the development people here have already decided that a paddock view is unecessary code over head and it's better for the users to keep his and each others 6 clear.

Shouldn't we consider frying, and some spicy buffalo sauce.

I prefer my ChickenWings Buffalo Style not flamed.

All these replies, and not one flame!!!

OK, I'll forget the crutch and get used to  it, If these replies are any indication this just might be a good bunch of guys, and that's what really makes Multi-play cool.
