You know if the US would only recruit and send over the Lightening Bolt guy and give him a bag of hand grenades this whole Iraqi war thing would be over in a heart beat.

He has talent. Real talent.

Who's 'lightening bolt guy'?

Nevermind - just played Creamo's ogre video. That guy in the skirt is really saying 'lightening bolt' as he throws things at that fella in the big costume isn't he?

Yes thanks to Creamo for his hilarious clip. I almost pissed myself laughing at the big fat guy throwing "lightening bolts" at the tall guy with the funny hat on.

That poor Ogre had just woken up and went to his front yard to get the morning paper. As he reached down for it, he noticed some folks approaching, and from the look of them, they were derranged beggars. Feeling sorry for them, he reached into his wallet to slip them a 20 spot (after all, he was a fairly successfull Ogre, who owned his own Mill, and believed in Charity over Government Welfare) when all of a sudden some lunatic started throwing **** at him and screaming "lighting bolt" while the others pummelled him with padded sticks.

wisely, the Ogre laid down and feigned death until the troubled visitors left him be. In retrospect, he's glad he didn't give them that $20

lol :D

I've shown to some people at work, to much merriment with a touch of confusion.

Who is the ogre in that clip? The rotund guy in the skirt?

I'm guessing it's the big thing that everyone is beating the hell out of. We really need to investigate these anti-ogre hate crimes.

Hey now, that was a troll, and he was his contract to charge toll for bridge usage was unenforceable, as it was a public span.

this 'lightning bolt' thing reminded me of something that happened about 12 years ago.

I'd been out drinking one night for a friend B-day,  the cab drops me off at about 6am.  I'm almost asleep (about 8am) when the kids are up and watching tv, making noise, being kids.

so the wife decides she's gonna take them to the park to play so I can get some sleep.  I decide that I'm not really tired (and am still feeling quite good) and decide to go along.

so anyway I still have a wonderfull buzz going about 10am, and I'm playing catch with the boy. anyway, do to my 'condition' a ball gets past me, and rolls down the hill and into some bushes.

so I go off after it and as I go through the bushes I look up, face to face with a fluff'n viking.  horned helm, full beard, long hair, what looks like bear skin leggings and vest and a huge tin-foil battle axe. I almost s**t myself!

when I finally was able to come to my senses I look around and there is another guy in a suit of real chainmail that must of cost him a couple $k,  another in a breastplate, some chick in a hooded cloak with "spock ears" on.

chemicaly speaking I was in no condition to take this all in.  so with out saying a word, so with a blank stare, and hearing something from them about "mortals not interfearing with their holy quest"  I stumble out of the bushes and head back up to the family.

after rejoining the family I decide not to mention it because it this time I'm begining to doubt how firm a grip on reality I'm mantaining.  I do sugest to the kids that maybe they want to go play in another part of the park, up top above the crater maybe (the park is on an old dormant volcano).

so at the new location and with no sign of full sized action figures, we start running around having fun, the usual, playing with the kids, kid stuff.

about a 1/2 hour later my oldest daughter (4 or 5 then), shows me her great find.  a handfull of nice shinny rocks (polished up real nice, quarts agates and such).  se says she found them laying between the roots of the biggest tree on the hill, and asks if she can keep them.

sure, no problem.

it wasn't until later that day that I realised, she had probably beaten them to their "holy quest".  they're probably still up tere wandering around looking for their rocks.

I wouldn't feel sorry for them. They seem happy enough. I can't watch without cringing though.
