Perks
« on: October 08, 2003, 12:09:56 AM »
Well this was my first night in CT this week. I grabbed a P-40E and begain to build my perks. I finally got 10 perks and grabed a P-38 and flew a few long slow sortied looking for bad guys. My connections were yellow but I flew anyway. Well, I finaly got discoed, completely kicked out of AH altogether. I reloged and discovered that I lost my perks.........so I F@#$ing logged.

I thought you only lost 50% of the perks if you discoed?

Well, I may have but since I only had about 12 perks, it still was a bummer.

Wether it was my servers fault or AH's server fault, we shouldnt loose perks for discoes, specialy in the CT if we are going to be starting out with zero perks each week.

I must agree with another post...eskimo I think it was, screw the perks and just make the "perked" rides available at rear bases. If the pilot is willing to fly a long way to a fight, he diserves unperked rides!

All fighters should be available at all fields anyway:(

Hey magee, i have heard rumors that there is a place, where people have every plane at every base... not sure if its real or not.

I think the ki61 is a little overperked.  I cant kill shat with a zero, and refuse to join the allied hoards for this map just to get perks.

I think at the start of these, if possible, give all players X # of starter points too. I dont know if thats doable on the current FE.

I used to be in favor of the use of perks as a limitation device, but have since come to the conclusion that it's too easy to subvert the perk-earning process ... so it's really pointless.

Yeah, I was naive.  So what.

Then there's the problem of losing perks due to disco -- or doing something foolish like trying to spawn from a hangar or refuel/rearm on this particular map.

I can't say that I believe there is a workable solution.

I tend to agree, with the perk issue, I dont care for using them personaly for a number of reasions some of which are listed hear you by you all, but they are a tool in our bag, and I cant fault eddiek for imploying it.

yes I agree, give X# of perks in the beginning. If the guy cant fly the perked rides, he wont last anyway. Give enough perks for at least one perked ride.....sound perky to you guys?

However, Im still set on rear base rides.
