If you thought combat was bad...

Try being a P-47 pilot in a group of 50 planes climbing through overcast skies...

http://www.352ndfightergroup.com/assoc/stories/rainthund.html

In one incident a P47s wing was actually touching another P47s elevator and neither plane could see the other.

In another incident, four P-47s went into tumbling spins at less than 4000 feet.  Didn't turn out so well....

I wonder how us sim pilots would fare in a similar situation in the MA?

lol. Too many piss and moan about about features and any effort being made to simulate piloting an airplane as it is now.

Cod forbid people actual feel they're piloting an airplane when performing simulated aircombat. Why, that would be like simulating you're driving a high performance machine in a racing sim!?!?!?!?  Heavan forbid....

I'm hoping TOD will bring that aspect to this game.

Oh sure, jumping in any plane and dashing over to a fight without much thought to fuel, weather, armament, intell etc is fun, I'm not knocking that.

But I would like to fly 'real' missions more often than current scenario offerings allow.

I wouldn't own the latest version of Flight Simulator and a yoke if I wasn't into the 'details'.

Whether or not this happens I will continue playing AH, nothing out there even comes close, and yes, I've tried every one.

CFS-Razer5

All the rest were played offline.

Currently in the process of designing a cockpit for the house while learning to use Autocad.

There...that should separate me from the whiners who think WW2 pilots only flew a few minutes before finding a fight and those who know they flew many hours without sighting anything.
I'm not knocking furballing in general, just the whiners who furball and think the game should be designed around them.

Good grief...I'll get flamed for sure now.....
