Just for the record....
« on: October 13, 2003, 10:48:13 AM »
The wife explained to me last night that the drug that Rush was using was a slow-release pain drug usually perscribed for people in constant pain (Was Rush ever in constant pain due to injury? Shrugs..)  Also, there are no known side effects of hearing loss as described in the up-to-date medicinal dictionary (2000 release)

I listened to his admission the other day.  He says he's had lower back pain for years (and even surgery, think that's where the addiction started as is so often the case) he also said something about a recent hurniated disk in his neck or something...

I'm told there is a way around the slow release. It was explained as a coating that can be scraped off.

I was told by some patients and doctors/councelors at the rehab that Oxicontin was the only pharmacuticle that you can cook down with water and shoot with a needle.

I wouldn't want users out there to get the wrong idea.

Its true that the time release in OC is easily and safely defeated by crushing and chewing when taken orally, but its dangerous to crush, cook and inject today's version of OC unless you know exactly what you are doing. It can kill you with a sudden overdose if you don't successfully break all the polymers that hold the active ingredients for time delay. If it isn't done properly it can unload in your bloodstream and give you the big nod.

^ don't worry about me doing that!  The only needles that have ever been in me were put there by a doctor.

Lower back pain probably comes from his gross obesity and a sedentary lifestyle.

66% of Americans are overweight.  But I agree, being overweight will/can be directly responsible for lower back pains and other bodily anomolies.

That explains why Rush wears a suit and tie all the time - to hide the track marks!

Ah yes and the tie, is for his upper arm to help find a vein.

He broke the law, he's a felon, lock him up and throw away the key.

No more excuses! Do the crime - do the TIME.

That's the Republican American Way! How appropriate - that's WAR spelled backwards.

he should have used something non-addictive for his  cronic  pain.
but as a republican he only wants us to be able to use addictive and dangerouse pain killers that drug companies can proffit from.
