Why my computer suddenly has no sound? Thought at first the on board sound was blown so put in an old SB card. No sound from that either. Okay...maye the speakers shorted somehow, plugged in the headset...nada..
I've tried the card in a different system so I know it works, checked the volume, nothing muted everything turned up. Checked the default sound settings, changed them to the onboard card, nothing. Changed them to the pci card still nothing.
The system simply refuses to play any sounds.
