How difficult would it be to increase the options for RW during game Play? I would Love the option of listening to an pre-recorded audio that would describe the Plane i was flying, its Strengths and Weaknesses, How it faired in various campaigns -- its best offensive manuveur its best defense manuever etc.
Even a channel that anyone could tune into (recieve only) that would give current game status, field take downs -- like an old time radio broadcast that would give delayed but live information about current game conditions, similar to the current text posts that occur on channel 1 but in Audio form.
I've enjoyed AH so much more with the added feature of integrated RW.
This game is a BLAST thanks HTC.... <S>

Personally I think its time to move on from RW. I would like to see voice coms fully incorporated in AH... and features like the local sector (radio #3) implemented. IE, you hear voice traffic from your local sector.

Of course this means lotsa voice traffic=lotsa net traffic= increase connect costs for HTC...

They could use DirectVoiceAPI - which is based on BattleCom / GameVoice, which is very flexible, and means those of us who bought the sidewinder setup would be able to use the control pads for voice in AH easily.

Nope, all voice comms traffic goes directly from user-to-user.  It doesnt cause any additional server load to HTC.

Good ideas, guys!

Amen Kfs! I'd love to see Gamevoice integrated into AH. Being a PC only game I thought it would be better to use a DirectAPI. I don't know how true it is but Roger Wilco development seems to have slowed to a stop and yet many complain about the quality of Roger Wilco and many have stopped using it which seems to defeat the whole purpose of having voice comms in AH! Battlecom development has obviously stopped due to the team working on Game Voice and the only other real contender is Team Sound which while giving good quality voice comms and many features Battlecom used to have such as channel switching has also not seen an update in quite some time. I already use Game Voice for issuing voice commands in AH (sent a profile to HTC..did you guys get it?) and it is being constantly updatedand supported (recent updates have seen the release of a standalone GV server) so to implement the voice comms of Game Voice into AH would be great! Could HTC look into this?
