OK 1st of all,i'm no puter wiz,so keep all harsh comments ez lol
I just dl'ed AH2 and i have black box's around the field #'s on the map and the same around the plane icons?
I have a ATI Radeon 8500/ 64mb card and a 1.4 proscesser how do i get rid of those and what should i have checked in the vidio prefference;ie bump mapping and all those,my vidio seems a bit snowy.
Can anyone tell me how they have there's set up plz.AH is nice and clear for me,AH2 is snowy and scrachy,i've turned off clutter but doesnt help much,thx. .Sawman

Did you download the first BETA or the second one (AH19901.EXE)?

That problem was corrected in the second BETA.

Ummmmm, Skuzzy... the second beta had the exact same file name as the first, AH19900.EXE. Although it had the same file name, it shows Version 1.99 Patch 1 when run.

Mine's named 19901.exe. Got em both in the same folder.

The file name is AH19901.EXE, which is the second BETA.

Aye, black boxes are fixed in Beta 2, but icons sometimes flicker strangely.

Oh, has anyone mentioned the odd behavior of the P-51 prop blades? For me, the propellor is invisible until I start the engine and the prop gets up to full rotation, after which I can see the circle made by the motion of the yellow tipped blades. If I turn the engine off, I can see the propellor feather and slow, but then it appears to start rotating again even though the engine is still off. Very odd.

Also: The C-47 propellors don't counter-rotate.

This is crazy! The file came through with the same file name (ah19900.exe) but the files are not the same size or date (10/15/03 and 10/20/03). I didn't change the file name and had to save it in a different directory because the name was the same as the first file. Either someone at HTC corrected the file name after I downloaded it or my computer is possessed.

Ok,i dl'ed the new 19901 and no more black box,s but i wz driving a tank around and saw green flat spots just hanging in the air (i suppose they are trees ) but they have no trunks lol,at 1st i thought they were clouds till i took off in plane and parachuted out ,on the way down i saw them again.
What does disableing palletized textures do (whats the differrence of have it on to off??),thx .Sawman
