Ok im gonna test on each of my pc's varying the sets ups hard ware ect  be paitent as for i have 5+ different pc combo's to get thru...

First Test PC
1.3 ghz amd  ecs k7s5a mainboard
512 sdram 133
GF2 mx 400 64mb   DX 8.1   21.85  drivers
ac97 sound drivers no sound card extenal amp.
OS   win 98se fully updated
PC-cillin AV program running, msn messenger running
Wingman extreame 3d joystick

AH2 started up fine here.. setup video to
16bit 800x600  everything cranked all the way up

frame rates lowest i saw was 15fps   the average was 25-30 peak was 53

appearence of game foggy like fa3 (i dont like that much fog ) but it wasnt to unbearable... adjusted fog distance out looked better.
Tree textures dont look that great as of yet.

while flying I would get triangle's of various shapes and size flashing around the prop arc in cockpit view.

AI plane explosions were non existent ...(not shure if this is video card or beta related )

Plane graphics looked good , terrain textures are visiable but not real crisp.

White screen of death when i tabbed back into the game

i'll test on my smaller machine next ....

Second test machine...

384 mb sdram 100

OS win 98se fully updated
pc-cillin AV/firewall program running

worn out wingman 3d joystick

AH2 started up fine here also.. setup video to
16bit 800x600 everything cranked all the way up

same triangle problem as above...

frame rates 10-30 avg peak 60 fps  
 so far so good ....Tested by my 3 year old  according to him

next test 2.0 ghz amd coming up soon...

Fps with tracers on and in the trees just drop down to almost 0 .. 3-5 fps here . is there a ship bug also ??? game ctd's when i try to go to hanger on a ship

Third test machine ... my work monster

Over clocked ... to the moon
3.1 ghz amd  soyo mb Water cooled  430 watt and 300watt ps's
1.5gb ddr 333
Ti 4600 128mb overclocked  30.xx det drivers
10k rpm scsi hds
Win 98se os updated DX 8.1

No extra goodies like firewalls/virous programs or any of that ... this machine never see's the internet...

it also has a second os bootable and ah2 played with the same results in win XP

FPS run 35-55 most of the time  (still see the stray rectangles )
Peek fps 170 looking up

the lowest i saw was 29fps and that was while firing with tracers turned on ... w/ tracers off it went back up to 45-50 ish

Now this pc should see fps in the 80+ plus area . (il2, FA3 run 80+ fps normally)

next thing i need to add ..

Is i have been able to alt/tab    but when i re-enter the game crashes.. on all 3 pc's and bolth Os's

Test machine #4  This is the smallest machine i have for testing with the smallest agp video card...

950 t-bird amd cpu,  standard clocking
msi K7T turbo v3.0 mainboard
128 sdram 100
GF2 mx 200 32mb  21.xx  drivers
Win 98se ,DX8.1
ac97 audio

AH2 was really slow to load as compared to the above machines

frame rates 5-15 flying ,firing with tracers on, and straffing
28fps in the tower
75fps looking up

now as is, the game is playable on this machine , but it does suffer in the fps department,  Graphics look as good as the gf 64mb cards

No errors starting the game.
