WAR in the AIR
by Stephen Coonts
ISBN 0-7434-6452-4

"A collection of true aerial combat accounts by the men who fought them, American, British, German, Japanese, all nations."

Into it about a quarter of the way, so far it's a good 'un.

"The best twenty-six stories of aerial combat a person is likely to find." -Sport Aviation

I have it, already read it.  Its a good way to decide what books to pick up on the next run to the library.  Too bad some of the source material in his book is out of print now.

Yes, a collection of chapters from various other books/biographies of well known aces and some not so well known. I have a copy and I've read it. Good book, recommended.

One of my all-time favorite reads is Edward H. Sims Fighter Tactics and Strategy 1914 - 1970 published 1972.  Highly recommended as well if you can find it.
