Sun Effects

WTG on the new sun. I love it.

Bug List for sun

1. Sun does not go down behind the terrain, it stays circular the entire time.

2. Sun is not obscured by solid objects (such as ammo box on the M3 turret) and seems to make things look semi-transparent / translucent

Specs

WinXP Home
Dell Dimension 4300
128M RAM
128M Radeon 9600 video

Yeah, but on 1600x1200 32bit full detail.
I guess the vid card has not enough memory, because I see fps dropping on passing the field and near trees.

Runs fine on 1280x1024 for beta, but not as fast as AH1 at 1600x1200 so far. :(

lucull,

Looking at this still shot, is it possible this is a reflection of the sun on your canopy?  Maybe if I saw film I'd realize it's not.  Just a thought.

LOL Mr Pluto its dark, how could the sun be reflecting of anything except the other side of the planet:)  To be relecting at that angle it would have to be overhead.

Good point, Gremlin!  Then again, in a Beta anything is possible.

The sun looks wery powerfull. Do we need extra UV-protection? Or did HiTech forgot the ozone zone from beta? Or is there only a hole in it, like over the Antarctic?
