I ran some test with my video card set at 6x anti-aliasing, 16x antistropic filtering with texture quality set to max...in plain words maximum quality.  Resalution was at 1280x1024 32 bit color. At first i had some wierd memory leak problem sorta...but as i messed with video settings in the game they went away and I couldn't get them back. black boxes around icons & such i could not get to go away. I am using 3.7 catalyst drivers....tried the 3.8 drivers but 3.7 were better. I also had tracers starting out behind plane and flying past me but that went away also & couldn't get it back.  Muzzle flashes of the cannon were showning spit skin pieces flying out but that went away also as I turned on & off video options and couldn't get it back.

In maxed out mode sitting on the RW in a spit firing guns FR dropped to 9fps, strafing a hanger they dropped to 12fps, flying around with some alt looking ahead 35 to 50 fps....looking to side 60-70 fps, straight up produced 240 fps.

Then I went to my video card settings and turned them to max performance...anti-aliasing off...texture & mip mapping detail lowest setting, antistropic filtering off. I kept the same resalution and color depth. I also turned off bumb mapping, horizon & transitions.

Video quality was noticably much poorer but the wierd part is my FR's only increased by about 10%.  In both modes i get some minor stutter or hesitations when rolling or changing direstions.

some things i would like to see:

1)Let GV's drive into (thru) tree's so they can hide better
2)some straight tracers mixed with spiral tracers
3)"stacked pancake" trees about impossible to see - kept hitting   them flying along ground :-) Looked great from air tho

Hope this helps guys, if there is anything I can do to help Let me know...run some particular stress test or routines I will be glad to help.
