Is it at all surprising?
« on: October 17, 2003, 08:15:29 AM »
That BOTH of the WWIIOL threads got locked by Skuzzy AFTER the CRS people tried to make a run on this board?  You'd figure that they would realise that it isn't them per se that causes us grief, its the game itself and their apparent lack of detente on this board.

I will try ANY game that offers great WWII combat simulation AND stimulation.  I don't consider horrible netcoding and subpar gameplay acceptable in this day when games have proved that it shouldn't be an isssue, but it is for some.

I would be a hardcore FB fan but I like the gameplay of AH better, even if it doesn't have the eye candy.  It reminds of the old days in flight sims where graphics were crude but the gameplay more than made up for it.  Yes, there were some serious issues with the FM on LucasArt's Their Finest Hour.  But who in here wasn't so fascinated with the game that you played well past your bedtime for months?  Or the astonishing realism (for its time) of Red Baron?  That's the bottom line...gameplay.
