I find threads like This to be a huge turnoff to AH.  Say what you want about WWIIOL, and it's comunity, but I have rarely seen such animosity or disdain out of a large portion of that community toward any other sim or community.

I actually ended up on these forums because someone in the WWIIOL Hangar mentioned that the AH2 beta was out.  Something that hapens quite frequently whenever another sim gets a new version or a patch.  But, having seen the hate that spews from these boards, I have reconsidered.

threads like this in which you freak out just because AH was mentioned, and then proceed to go on a WWIIOL bashing spree, simply because someone posted a link to an interview???

or this thread where you people go out of your way to bash the WWIIOL FM.  I don't even have to click the link to know what video that is, and someone at CRS has even said it should be somewhere between the two.

then there is this thread, starts out as simply bashing the game, for the sake of bashing the game.

I have never seen such targeted loathing in an online community, and I refuse to be a part of it. Congrats folks, you have just turned away a potential customer.

I can see that the comuinity really cares about encouraging people to play your game.  This coming from someone who's been here since '99??

Its a shame you don't let the game stand on its own merits.  Would you stop cheering for a team because you don't like its fans?

Actually, I find the community to be a big part of the game, I am generally very active in the communities of the games I play online, and when I see stuff like what I saw today, it's a big turnoff.  Especially when I've grown use to people in the community actually recomending, and putting news out on updates to other games (including this one).

Just dont take anything that is said in this forum seriously, and it is all actually hilarious. Nothing funnier than a bunch of grown men acting even more inmature than the Counterstrike forums.

I like to think of the AH O'Club as the sewer of the internet.

Yeah, Pesticide, it is pretty stupid to not try the game because of Morons.  The community is quite different than the people on this board, so you should not use that as the basis of your decision.
