A Version of the B17, It had a Lifeboat underneith that could be dropped to rescue downed pilots. It served in WWII, may of served in Korea but I doubt it.

No I left the properties there on purpose.  

This particular aircraft was converted to a B-17H in 1948 and served in the Korean War.  Some of its armament was restored in case of fighter attack.

I don't have the sources to back it up, but I believe both the B-17H and a special B-17 that dropped paratroopers served in Vietnam also.

Considering the Military's use of working machines, I wouldn't put it past them at all.
