Just installed, seems to work fine. Now have hotkeys to adjust gamma on the fly. Not sure what that could be used for but might come in handy some night. ;)  May have had that feature in 3.7 and I didn't notice.

Any problems with them AKIron?  I just replaced my Geforce 4 Ti 4200 card with a Radeon 9800 today and installed the 3.8s.

At first everything was fine, but after about 30 minutes in any 3d game my system would reboot.  It acts like the card is overheating, but with my case I know it has more than adequate cooling.  (The bios post screen text was even corrupted after one reboot, which definately makes me think heat.)  My monitor also was going black on bootup for about 5 seconds right before the taskbar appeared.  I didn't think much of it, but just a little bit ago I noticed a link off of Anandtech just posted this evening claiming that the 3.8s are burning up 9800 Pros and monitors.  I don't know if there really is a problem, but I uninstalled the 3.8s and put the 3.7s on.  The monitor issue went away, but I haven't had time to see if the card still locks up after 30 minutes or so.  Considering what I was seeing, I think I'd be careful with the 3.8s...

I swapped from a Ti4200 to a Radeon 9800 a few weeks ago and I have been using the Cat 3.8 drivers without any problem for about a week or so.

Bloom, it might be useful to try one of those nvidea stray file removers just incase something from Detonator is still lurking.  I still had a few files on (had to use a diff stray file remover) and my 3D Mark 2003 went from 4040 to 5454.

I am also using the hotkeys to adjust gamma as well - very handy! :)

By chance does anyone know if the 3.8 drivers solve the problem between the 9700 pro and intel E7205 chipset?

Hey RGJ

I honestly don't know, but you could try checking the release notes and see if they have the information that you require:- http://www2.ati.com/drivers/Catalyst_38_Release_Notes.html
