Such an injustice!
« on: October 29, 2000, 02:34:00 AM »
Here I have been paying 32$ a month all this time for AH! How dare they others pay only 30$!

I demand to have my rate lowered or have everyone else's raised!

It's not fair!

Why should I be punished just because I live in the same state!

I DEMAND EQUAL PRICING!

Perhaps the one illustration nobodies pointed out yet :P

And the summarization on this week's posts:

Seriously people, lighten up. It's not universal. Let's start whining about something else now.

I concur...I vote that HTC make everyone pay the proper sales tax from their own respective home states!

Urrrghh, no. That would mean 25% for us swedes.

All things counted we probably pay about 80% taxes already, don't need more  .

cc...Washington has become a lot more attractive since they got rid of the incredibly high car registration fees.  No income tax, much lower property tax...had they done it 5 years ago, I'd probaly be a Vancouver resident now.    As it is though, I'll be moving to Salem sometime in the next 6 months.

What?!  Hmm, paying $4200 a year for a shy acre of land, far from low...I'd like to compare that to a 1 acre home in OR. (2600 sq.ft. 5-bedroom, 3 years old)

BTW, the $350 a month in property taxes...I  own 30 acres in Montana, granted it has no structure on it yet, I pay $70 dollars a year it 30 acres.

Washington, 1 acre with structure=$350 month property taxes.

Montana, 1 acre without structure- $.19 cents a month.

That does seem like a lot...I'd be willing to bet (not much tho') that in the Portland area the property taxes are higher.  'course, I'm still and apartment dweller so I that's just subsidised into my rent.
