All modern cars have digital speedos/odos so that won't work. Even if it would there's a good change that you will get caught. Your dealer has mileages from all your previous visits. Íf you go to different dealer it might work, but then again the manufacturer has mileages of all your previous warranty claims.

I routinely use alldata.com to check for potential problems with my vehicle before the warranty runs out. On my '99 F250 I got about $1200 worth of work done for free at 35,500 miles. New brakes and rotors all the way around was most of it and a nice touch from Ford.

BTW, you just need to read though the list and see if any of this applies to you. Then go to the dealership and have them pull up the Bulletin and see what it says. Doesn't always say they'll fix it, btw.

For example, if you've got the automatic and have been wondering about that clunking noise when the automatic downshifts 2nd to 1st, you need to ask for:

Can you pull up the data on a Ford 2002 F250 Diesel crew cab truck? Mine is about 10,000 km away from being out of warrenty. So far I have had one recall (acceleration module).

Muck, there was a service bulletin on the brakes, rotors and pads. It was one of those "if they complain, replace them". So I read that and complained.
