can we have a "career" score added?
« on: October 23, 2003, 09:19:39 AM »
i and i belive many others enjoy getting as many kills as possible with 1 life (if you killed or captured its over)

i want to see how many sorties i can survive and ofcourse how many planes i can shoot down in this "1 life"

if HTC could add a "career" indeecator to the score page that will show your corrent kills from your last time you got killed or captured it will be great.

i try to count them myself but i allweys forget and get mixed up :(

I hope to see it in AH2

Was asked almost from a day one. Probably their is some design reason not to add it.

He wants to discourage the sky accountant mentality of those who won't take risks or engage the enemy for fear of killing their streak.

it's a great idea to have a 'Personal Best' stat or Career stat:

It will give some players something to strive for other than killing a cv using dive-suicide-bombing lancs

Score doesnt affect me enough to force me to change my flying style. If I want to stay alive in fighter mode the design of the game wont stop me from trying. I dont have any trouble engaging either. The problem I run into is the buffs at 30k that bail out the minute they see you coming which is now a daily occurance in the MA. How about deducting points from bombers that bail with no damage?

Isn't that going to be part of the rank component in AH2?

What a great idea.

edit:  That link is great, too.  I just wish I could look at my career stats for a single plane instead of all of them.  (For example, I don't want all my C47 deaths to count against my p38 stats.)  Still, it's a great tool.  I can see a big improvement in my flying skills over the past few tours.
