Rogues will gladly take Axis (3 pilots), and I vote for not flying on Halloween.

We all have a blind date with Destiny... and it looks like she's ordered the lobster.

Could you please send me an example of the standard order set you guys are using?  It would be helpful in setting up the scenario orders.

Thanks in advance,

shubie

You bet. I will post something in this thread Saturday. Then I might add something to the "sticky" at the top as a guide line.

Rshubert,

A typical list of mission objectives from the Admin CM would include:

List of targets to be attacked. For example, (this is an example only)

A1 – Destroy all bomber hangers
A12 – Destroy all fighter and bomber hangers
V15 – Destroy vehicle hanger
V18 – Destroy vehicle hanger
Bridge at sector 10.12.3
Supply train that runs between A1 and A3
Truck convoy that runes between A12 and A14

If you have 10 squads to work with you would then contact the squads and ask what AC would they like to fly. Accommodate when possible (but sometimes you can). You will find most squads are quite flexible. On the flip side some squads do have favorite rides so you should give it to them when possible. For example if the AC listed are B-17’s, P-38’s, P-47’s, and Spit IX you would not want to put the 56th fighter group in anything but P-47’s which they excel in. :) It pays to know the squads and listen to their requests. Just don’t wait too long for replies. It is vital you get orders out on time. Assign each squad a mission/target. Provide escorts when possible. Hope this helps.

Please see this sticky thread for the basics on how to be a Frame C.O.

Gents thanks for posting your numbers and side preferences. I will accommodate when possible. If you were Allied last time odds are you might be Axis this time.

Nutjob have you contacted ghostdancer? Is your squad new to Squad Ops or you just posting your numbers for this next Squad Operations? Forgive my ignorance. :)

We are not knew to flying friday night squad ops.  Althought I did not know I had to inform ghstdancer of our entry.  Just tell me what I need to do to get the Fate squadron signed up.  Perferrably allied flighters, and we expect 6-8 flyers.  Thank you

Daddog,

In your guidelines you state that the number projected for attendance should be within plus or minus 2. What happens if that goal is not reached either way ?

Thanks nutjob. I see that now that I looked over the past logs (was too lazy before). Sorry about that. :)

Jim is easy to keep it from going over 2 too many. You will just have to have a a pilot or more sit out. :) Not fun, but when your squadies are showing up when they said they would not that would be the consequence. Better that than cause the sides to be out of balance. The flip side can be more difficult. If you have too few show up then the side can be out of balance again, but in favor of the enemy. You might not be able to escort, jabo, bomb as well (or as much) as you should. This is important since other squads are depending on you to do your assigned task.

Bottom line is if you have too many or too few pilots show up you are warned once. If it happens again squads “may” be asked to step out of Squad Operations. More than likely they will be asked to adjust their committed numbers. If that does not help they will be removed.

One of the more stressful tasks for Admin CM’s is assigning squads and keeping the numbers balance. Squads can make that very difficult by not taking committed numbers serious.

Daddog,

Please change my commitment to 11 to 15 pilots. I believe I have been over more then under and I will address the guidlines with the CO and the squad

                                                         Thank You
