STALKER: Oblivion

Anyone seen the screenshots for this game? No idea what the game itself will be like but the screenshots are nothing short of incredible. The detail to the environment and light sourcing appear to be second to none.

You will only be scarred if you survive the fight...until then you will only be scared!  ;)

Well, if the graphics are truly that good I'll be trying it to be sure. Those graphics look almost oil painted. I noticed in several images the sunlight coming through the clouds was just incredible as well as the way it played on perceptions looking into the sun.

Yeah, even without the near future stuff it'd be cool just as a FPS military game with that level of detail. What caught my eye was all the clutter both ground and sky.

It's a 60meg movie of the game world. Three things I noted in particular. Watch the body fall onto the Jeep. When it hits the suspension bends and the Jeep rocks on the chassis. When he shoots the guy on the tower he falls exactly like a body would. The physics used look awesome.

Thing I had a problem with was he appeared to be using a shotgun for long range shots. Even with a sabot these shots are out there.

Time to punt it back to the top. Wanna see if anyone else has seen the 60meg trailer.

Soo...

Just watched it.  Must say that it does look impressive.  I was really surprised by the PM in BF1942 as well.  Nothing like throwing a grenade into a bunch of commies and watching the bodies fly.  Like to do it as well on Midway to the Japanese soldiers.

Overall the game looks great.  But it looks like a system update will be needed to play the sumbich.
