I have to Hail HTC for implimenting the Chat filter...BUT, I also agree it needs to be confind to country and Channel 1.

I talk like a truck driver, It's part of MY personality, but i don't force my vocal elequence on Channel one or country channels. I remember an instance with markV cursed on Channel 1 and as a squad member i repremanted him, althou his responce was " well your using the same words on RW" I quickly pointed out the DIFFERENCE!
All squads are self policing in there own veiws, some condone cursing on CH1, But I believe MOST don't.  Althou I curse, I wouldn't talk to my clergyman or my daughters teacher with these "choice" words.
This game is about killing, comrodery, emotions, and personalities, Private channels should stay just that, "private"! Squads are formed threw mutual respect, and a common bond, and sharing fun times, people fly with squad members because they WANT to. Therfore taking away the emotions, weather it be a vocal or typed " release" from an  furball, on squad channel is wrong IMO. It would cut deep into my online personality ( which is very close to my IRL personality) I am not Condoning Cursing. You've all seen me in AH since day one, and althou i can be vocal you never see me on Channel one or on the BBS cursing, theres just no need for it, but in private channels WHHOOOOO, WHOOOOO better put the kids to bed, tie up the dog, and tell the wife to  go make pie, cause this is NOT the place for the weak!!!

I've NEVER seen ANY gaming company like HTC listen and do for it's customers, it's unheard of. As i looked at ALLLLLLLL  the Complaints from it's customers screaming about the vulgarity on the airwaves, they stepped in and answered, just like they do with EVERY other complaint or request. NEVER have i seen such devotion to ones product!!

HTC, i do request you Unfilter all but country and Ch1, let the squads police themselfs, the players here are the best of the best, let them fight, die and have fun in their own way,in their own words, without forcing their views on the masses.

I had thought about leaving some channels open like private, but decided against private do to anyone can tune to you and blast you with out you enabling them. So decided against that.

I didn't even consider squad channel, and I agree it can be an open channel.
Squads are a small group, that have a leader who has the option to do as he sees fit with the squad with out it impacting anyone outside the squad.

I will open it on the next host instalation.

Hitech,

Thank you for the action you took on this issue. You continue to demonstrate the flexibility and dedication to a quality product that we are all becoming spoiled by.

SALUTE!!!!

With the .squelch command why can't private be unfiltered?  I talk with squad mates and friends via private channel all the time, and sometimes it's quite colorful.

Even w/o the filter if someone tuned me private and started blasting me I'd just squelch'em and be done with it.
