Hanging Blinds
« on: September 23, 2000, 05:10:00 PM »
I originally posted this way back on "bigweek" thought i would share it here.

I got the call from a local Blinds "R" Us, that my vertical blinds were in. Trying to save money on the installation (and strutting my masculinity of power tools in front of the wifey) I decided to hang them myself.

The bolts that anchored the hangers was about a foot long, GEEZZ it more resembeled a spar bolt for a B-17 wing than these dainty blinds, with tools inhand I climbed on the radiator cover to drill some holes.

With my weight and the pressure trying to drill these holes, i momentarily lost my footing and dropped the drill. The drill hit the belt sander( turning it on), popped up and perminatly drilled my shoe to the radiator cover( just missing my big toe), with my one foot afixed to the cover, I could only watch as the beltsander screamed like a 190 E5 across the hardwood floor.

Which leaves me to this question...
How long does it take for a cats hair to grow back?

I am reluctant to laugh at anothers' misfortune. But the contents of my bladder now resides on the front of my pants.....

Sorry Nuttz, but as a guy that's been working on a major fixer-upper of a house for five years, this is fediddleing hilarious.

And I can't access Bigweek anymore. And I'm probably as wanted there as Ripsnort is over on AGW. I think Tilt banned me.
Never fear though, I'll  be over to help you refinish your floor.... in two weeks!

Nuttz, I thought I was the only one that would have that kind of luck.  Good to know there are others of the same ilk.

Not laughing at ya bud, just picturing the sight.

Ram,

A power tool that uses  a piece of sand paper in a continuous loop (much like the treads on a tank) to sand objects. It saves much time and effort for large flat sanding jobs. (I could demonstrate on your head if you like!)
