But when i try to decompress it like you said i, click on my computer, then c drive, then program files, then HTC file, and my zipped folder is inside it. So i try like you said to double click the zipped folder and a box comes up. And it says THE COMPRESSED (zipped) FOLDER IS INVALID OR CORRUPT. SO i really dont know what im doing with that. PLease explain the whole procedure with the info i have given you. Thank you

I have to say that this sound pack is the best by far.I really like the rattling sound in the cockpit of the P-47.Keep up the good work.

I'm assuming this is not a problem with my system, but I don't hear any reloading sound for the main gun in a tank. I can't tell when I'm ready to shoot again, so I try to guess and end up pulling the trigger too soon, messing up my timing and targeting on shots.
A simple reload sound would be a big help there.
Also, the gunfire of the main tank sort of sound more like bashing two garbage can lids together than it does a main gun. Maybe a little more bass and hardness to the sound.
Otherwise, I think this is the best sound pak.

when i had been playing for about 3 months i found out that you can customize the sounds first i tried one of waffles packs i thought it was brilliant (probably cause it was my first one )
then i tried one of yours and have not changes it since
beautiful sound pack love the explosions just a great one keep up the good work
P.S i was annoying the squad i am in all night cause i was praising this packs name

Excellent work, Mitsu. What is the story behind the sounds? (Did you record actual sounds yourself? How did you decide on the sounds for the different aircraft? And so on.)

I don't know if you consider this an issue or not, but the tiger & panzer reload sounds are out of whack. If you fire your gun there is no reload sound played before the next round is ready to fire. I mix my own out of the stock reload & your gun sounds & it works great, the only one I can't get right is the T-34, that long reload time frustrates my efforts to sync the reload with the ready to fire timing. At least on the T-34 the reload sounds is played, it just does it some 4 seconds or so before the gun is actually ready to fire.

I just downloaded and started to test it yesterday - and WOW!
What a difference. Really enhances the immersion. I'm pretty blown
away at how detailed and rich the sound is. I have a good sound
system with a sub under the desk (umm cockpit) and it's pretty
amazing!! I think the neighbors hate me...

I kind of incorporated all three sound packs into one for my sound choices. Cudos to all the guys who created these packs. Each one has some great sounds!

Finally, decided to upgrade my sound experience after living with the original sounds since AH1!
Never too late to improve, my congratulations to Mitsu for the excellent work and a big Thank you! for sharing his work with all of us!
Just a note: although I renamed the original sound folder to sounds_old, before setting in the new ones, now I only have 2 .wav files and a .txt file there! What happened to all the original ones? Were they overwritten, gone or lurking somewhere? I found a sounds.res file but I have no access...
Not that I care much, but what did I do wrong this time? Can anyone explain it to me?

It is a beautiful download of perfect sound quality+Sounds like the real thing for instance the zeke or a6m sounds like a piece of crap with less horse power than my lawnmower (and its what it sounded like) :D

I have tried a couple of times and I cannot get that sound file to work. I followed the instructions and still have no joy. I am currently playing on my laptop with Vista(until I get my house). Could that be the issue ? any help would be great.

OK TomCat, 2 quick things to check. 1) Make sure you placed Mitzu's sounds in HTC/Aces High II folder. 2) Cache settings (on game start-up) are looking for sound files in folder named SOUNDS not sound. Check this and see what happens....Tic

This soundpack is old and doesn't have the new tanks and planes that were added in the past 2 yrs or more. Yes its good but needs updating. Unfortantly, mitsu I believe is not around anymore.

There really is no best. Its what is best to your ear. My pack uses mostly actual in cockpit sounds from live recordings of the actual planes. Now some of the sounds are close to real or what we think is real because some planes don't exist anymore to even get a recording sound.

Just so you guys no, Mitsu hasn't updated this in a long time(years) and it is missing many planes & GVs. You would have to mix with other packs/make your own to have a full custom pack. The planes & GVs that came out in the last few years are still going to be default otherwise. Is Mitsu still around in AH land at all?

move them to your sounds folder in aces high in whatever directory you installed ah first. but first rename the sounds folder to oldsounds then move them. i have d/l all 3 sounds packs and just renamed them sound 1, sounds2 and sounds 3. then i'll rename the directory to whichever i am the mood to listening too

It's actually not hard to update the existing pack. just copy and paste sounds into new folders saying something like SPIT16 instead of SPIT9 in the sounds folders. It works. If im wrong ill tell ya but no damage done so far

All the planes & vehicles from the last few years won't be found in this pack, so you may have to mix & match from other packs or make your own for fully custom sounds.

Just downloaded the sound pack. There is a small problem with the T34/85 sound. When the main gun fires, the first sound is the default sound. That is followed by what sounds like an updated version of a main gun firing. Then it is followed by the new reloading sounds.

it happens with all new GVs. just update this pack with sounds from other people's packs and it will go away. Mix and match to your preference. Personally i took Mitzu's as my main pack and I use Twinboom's as a filler for the rest. But like i said that's my preference. All the soundpacks are great and are used by many many people in the game. AKDogg's got some great sounds too along with Ranger's :aok
If you want to take the extra 20 minutes, download them all and try em all out. Find what you want and fit it together into your personal set.
I also gotta say that the people who put the sounds and skins together deserve a big <S> too...

I remember using Mitsu's back in H2H.. Probably one of the best packs back then. Nowadays I use TB's and occasionally Ranger's (have both). All great packs, definitely recommend trying them all out :salute

if you know what engines the planes use it not a problem
ex: theres a new F4U omg no sounds what do i do. go to sounds find a F4U that dose have sounds copy paste rename it to the new F4U have fun and they both use P&Ws engs so they would sound the same. the only one we would have a problem with is the B29 (new eng)

Dunno... I had made Mitsu's package the base of my sounds, but I have some sounds replaced over the years. Could be the FW's are still from Mitsu. :headscratch:

... Dang, it's not in there either. I guess it was from way back in another early sound pack or something. I remember using that engine sound on the very first day the 190D and 152 came out. It sounded a lot like one of the F4U engine sounds, really overmodulated and pretty low pitched.
Are you sure this is the first Mitsu pack? The La7 sound isn't the one I remember either.. That La7 engine sounded like an angry bee. Really high pitched like cartoonish, not more realistic like this one.

I've been trying all morning to get this to work, but it hasn't happened.
I d/l'd and un-zipped the files just fine.
I went and re-named my sounds file to "sounds_b"
I created a new folder and named it "sounds"
I pasted Mitsu's sounds into the new "sounds" folder
I still get default sounds.
It's driving me mad.
I hate that damn intro song, I've heard the first few notes over and over for the last hour. About to smash some stuff. :lol

You're sounds folder should have locations listed like thus:
C:/Program Files/Aces High II/Sounds/P-51D/
If your folder structure looks like:
/Aces High II/Sounds/Sounds/P-51D/
Or another structure not looking like the first one I showed the new sounds won't work.
(Obviously the path has to match your Aces High installation if you customized it. For me it looks like:
C:/Aces High/Sounds/ )

I had custom sounds already but I have to say yours are very good! I changed a couple of planes engine noises but other than that the guns, and everything else is excellent! Thank you for your contribution! <S> Thompson
