Title: Reloptix corrective lenses for Reverb G2
Post by: oboe on October 03, 2022, 06:09:02 PM
  :huh  :(  :bhead :furious

Cannot get the magnetic snap ring adapters to seat properly on the G2's lenses.  This appears to be a bad design, or the wrong choice of plastic to construct the adapter rings - not enough elasticity.  I've watched the installation video several times (even he says its tricky in the video).

Anybody else have these?

Yeah. Mine popped right on. Maybe try heating the rings up first? Under a hot lamp or hit with a hair dryer/heat gun.

Thanks Drano.  The install video recommends heating them with a blow dryer, which I tried to no effect. I got them now though, bathing them in very hot tap water first made them flexible enough to work

Are you guys noticing a huge improvement with the reloptix lenses opposed to wearing glasses under the G2 hood?

Absolutely. Kinda like they're made for it!

I prefer the inserts to wearing glasses in the headset.   Extra protection for the headsets lenses too!
