I believe the term you are looking for is "came out of the closet". And it's not that we didn't figure it out about you, we just felt it would be impolite to mention it.

Am I late?! Have Storch, Larry, N7 & VWE really decided to stop using their sad lil' shade accounts they created to cause trouble and are actually going to grow a pair, come out of the shade(s) and into the light, and play the game like grown men?! Sweet!
It isn't them, Ranger. Those guys are my friends. They wouldn't deliberately try to destroy what you and I and others have spent a lot of time trying to build up.

If I am wrong then I apologize. Whoever they are, it is a shame the law considers them adults.
i think if storch was gonna come over and screw with the arena, he'd just use his old name. i don't honestly think he would though, as i do believe he was part of what/who got this arena up and running last time?
While I agree squadrons operating in the AvA is a good thing and should be encouraged. I don't think forming a squad with the express purpose of going after any certain group is a good idea. It just adds more fuel to the fire and keeps the venom flowing. Friendly healthy competition with other squads I'm all for. Witch hunts or adding to an already ex sisting problem isn't going to do anybody any good. I believe in fighting hard being aggressive, and playing to win. However if we're going to do things for the sake of revenge or some attempt to punish others... That's just another form of negative activity that will just lead to more negative activity. Bring your teamwork and flying to the arena by all means. In the long run that's the best medicine. Check the torches and noose at the door though.
One Observation I have see in my flight sim experiences over the years is that there are generally two elements of players.
The antisocial introvert that didn't get enough attention from mommy and daddy. The type that think just because they can drive Pixels around a computer screen well that it some how defines them as great warriors.
Those types generally have no life or anything in the real world to hold onto, so they escape their true identity's and hide in the virtual world.
They speak of skill ect as if it meant they actually had any real world intestinal fortitude or physical ability. When in the majority of their free time they are probably jerking off and popping zits. Its sad really.
That type will always stand out on text buffer squawking as we see thoughout our virtual lives. Lets try to help them I think All they need is a hug.
Then there are others that simply like the positive comradely from flying with buddy's and the friendly and honorable competition that we all have here in the AvA. Along with the interpersonal relation ships that develop.
That's why I like flying in the AvA because the majority of players are socially well adjusted individuals with real life experience's, many have given selflessly to there communities family's and Country. Those guys are also not the type to brag about how well they can wiggel a joy stick around.
Yes there are a few Fools that pop in here and irritate but just as ignoring impolite behavior from a small child helps to diffuse the situation. So it will on the text buffer. That and a littel kick in the bellybutton from the admins.
The AvA has been a far better experience for me personally than any other arena in Ah in my opinion.

we don't need a larger force to dominate......just need to stop falling into their game.
they hang a couple of miles from a base, and everyone keeps upping from there.....thus they get caught slow and low, still trying to gain fighting alt and speed. they jump on ya. you're down, and do it again. that is one of their tactics to rack up their k/d. no one ups from another base to push em back, or down.
they'll have one or two draw everyone into a low fight.....and let the other come in with one of the fast planes, and pick ya out of the fight. no one is flying high cap, or pushing em down.
all that is needed to show them that they're not as great as they think they are(they are excellent sticks though) is teamwork, and communication.
got a con lingering above the fight, picking? first one down, launch farther back, and grab enough alt to push it down. if it's one of them, it'll run, as they wanna protect that k/d ratio.
got cons lingering off the runway? same thing.
and finally.....even this post is doing exactly what we shouldn't be doing......feeding the trolls. we all need to stop these kinds of threads, and focus on the good/fun things in the arena. :aok

We are saying the same thing
Cap is just a bit more poetic at it....
If mental midgets are bringing you down
Teamwork will turn up the corners of your frown
Don't despair, the AvA is still where you should be
it is fairly simple as you shall see
Don't play their game
If you don't want the result to be the same
Fly from far away, climbing high into the sun
It is certain to increase your fun
Get some friends on your wing
and the cyberchildren will change the tune they sing.
Is that better?
Is it really possible that 3 people that seem to work well together are running circles around the AvA regulars? I mean 3 people? How much time have you people wasted slappin each other on the backs in here about your great in game skills yet 3 kids have you in a tizzy...

I'm beginning to think the pimply faced kids are the regulars and those 3 kids are the only adults.
Well lets see, just looking up jet stuff...
Hoey has 39 kills in a 262, 2 kills of 262's, he has been killed by 1 262 and has died 3 times in a 262.
Rammey has 5 kills in a 262, 0 kills of 262's, he has been killed by 1 262 and has died 1 time in a 262.
And that last guy doesn't show up (ceklner)
So I'd say that guy you say is an easy kill is kicking someones bootay.
Do you ever think 2 posts ahead?

I don't know Zoom, I read that twice but I still see their behavior as just being a reaction to yours. Basically it is your fault. Have you tried being sweeter to them?
lol this is getting old fast, kills in 262, no icons = easy mode = easy kills, i have never flown a 262 ( they don't really interest me) till a couple nights ago 1st flight 2 kills upon landing front nose gear broke and i died , second flight nothing encountered so i landed, same darn front gear problem and the slide for life ensued and i died, i think im landing to hot :joystick:
personally i feel Rank is the big motivation for some people, just take the rank out of the AvA arena, if you want to go see your "rank" go to the homepage all your stats are there, i feel Rank/Score is always detremental to alot of OnLine games, like its some life accomplishment to be ranked #1 in some online game,BUT to some it is so you throw a bunch of people who think like that into a game it can get bad quick, look at how alot of FPS games are now, just run and gun and nadefests, anything for a kill to reach a higher rank,
yesterday was a perfect example i upped a hvy110 for a long run i seen 2 high f4's getting ready to engage a friendly so i decided to land as fast as i could and up something to turn fight in, (about that time i get a LOL why you hiding in your ack 110 on 200 from one of the pilots)landing gear down and i see them barreling in on me both trying to kill me as i landed, twarted two attemts from them but hit a tree and one gets the proxy, they both head off maybe 3k from tower so i up a fighter no sooner i got moving one dives in real fast kills me just after wheels up with a head on, i asked them both what the heck and they just LOL for score thats why
ive never talked to them or ever said a bad word in there about them, everytime ive flown in there we have been on the same side, I'm a very quiet person so i don't talk much at all except check6's so i dont see where that's my fault, i dont rag on anyone no need to its a game, treat me with respect and youll get it back 10 fold that's how i was raised, talk trash to me you'll just get ignored, internet rambo's mean nothing to me and only take away from any game
my 110 experence didnt involve them that happened in the MA from 2 people from a very well known squad , i was using that as an example of the seemly majority we see now
Sorry Zoom was making fun of ImaDot, it was a joke. :)
... i think im landing to hot :joystick:
That'd be my bet..

i havengt flown the 262 ingame yet
It's really boring.
Worth trying once or twice, hey, you might not agree with me.

well, i'll probably die in it inevetably. i'll more than likely try to take it and fly it like you see me fly my pee38 and pee39...on the deck, turning.
i mean.....what do i have to lose?
I went up against a bomber formation in the MA the other day. They smoked both my engines on the 3rd or 4th pass. Cool part is that I brought her in deadstick and landed nose-wheel first. (survived)
Got the vid, just don't know how to post such things.
<S> Melvin
P.S. I agree with Oldman, they are boring as heck. However, if a sortie against buffs is your thing then they can make for some white knuckle, high speed fun.

theres no such things a 262 dogfights, i have never seen one in my 8 plus years in AH, only on special nights were everyone is flying them like the upcoming Jet Night, 262's fly around mach speed looking for people that are not paying attention or engaged already, swoop in, club them and scamper off, they wont turn fight because they'll scrub off to much speed then the prop planes have a chance, like Oldman said worth trying out, to me they equal easy mode, biggest guns, fastest plane to run away in if you need to, so ya there boring lol
ahh just wait till I come screaming in.. I have a profound weakness for trying to turn any plane like a zeke :devil
It is always relative. 262 does not knife fight prop planes but back in Warbirds we had a few 262 versus F-86 events and those 262's were like slow and turned well compared to the F-86 although good use of the speedbrake allowed the F-86 to hang with the 262 for a few turns. The F-86's consistently slaughtered the 262's because they couldn't run away, couldn't stay vertical with a Sabre and couldn't accelerate once you got them below 5000 feet.
The fastest plane in any plane set always ends up in this position. The speed difference of the 262 over the prop planes just makes it dramatic.

Then your head has been in the sand for 8 yrs, if they were such 'easy' mode planes to fly then everyone would be in them like I'm sure the hurri and spits fill the air in almost every senario they are enabled.

guess you didn't show up to the last jet week. it was 262's only. dogfights all week. next one is December 9, 2010. give it a try!

Neither, I don't buy the 262 is an easy mode aircraft at all.

watch me. if i can find someone that's willing to turn one, i'll be down on the deck, turnfighting in one.
rather than trim the trees, i'll just burn em down. :devil
Well of course it isn't EASY, even though it is BORING.
The softball trajectory of the 30mms, combined with the speed of the plane, makes aiming a real challenge. Reminds me of Peter Ustinov's line from "Spartacus": "Brilliant dagger thrust...at a difficult angle."
Plus it can be depressing when everyone flying real planes gets irritated that your 262 is circling around picking them while they're having real fights. Going through a whole evening when everyone hates you is never easy in my book.

Not when you start turn fighting them on the deck like I used to do against you.
Whoa there Nelly! In my almost ten years of playing aces high I have never once used a shade. Iv changed my name a few times but have always been open to telling people if I did. The last time I played aces high was about six weeks ago when I opened a two week trial to see if there was anything new that would get me interested in starting playing again. Sadly there wasn't and I let my two week trial expire without subscribing. My name during those two weeks was 'Larry' just like it has been for the past few years.
Not when you start turn fighting them on the deck like I used to do against you. :aok
landing speed--below 200, lots of flaps, keep nose up
turning fight--use flaps
BNZ--be careful of compression
this jet burns E quickly in a turn fight but takes awhile to get it back, bare that in mind. if you get too slow, you'll take awhile to recover your E. the good thing is the other guy will have the same problem. Camoflage on these jets are very good. you'll have a tough time spotting them.
True. You are the one exception to the rule.
And hey, get back to your books!
- oldman
sooooo....we couldn't lure ya back to come fight in the ava?
As for the 262 turn fighting its not really a good idea in the MAs, but since they were always free in the AvA I just started stall fighting OM in it. IIRC he killed me or I flew into the ground every time.
Naw Im done with books and school. If everything goes my way Ill be one of those jarhead people soon. :aok
Naw I went into the AvA the first night back and pretty much got my bellybutton handed to me. It was kinda hard to keep track of planes w/o the little red thing on top of them.

In the MA you dont really have to B&Z. I like to keep about 5k above the deck just in case someone dives on me and can nose down and pull away from them. You want to stay fast but not to fast. The thing likes to compress like 109s if you dont watch your speed.
lol now I need to get used to chasing shadows over the sea and land now let alone the kill boards in MA but I can really say AvA has helped me out a-lot with the no icons here then going back there with icons and my SA. Thanks to all who helped me out here and Cap you get my peeeeeee38 training film lol I am just shocked I lasted that long and flying it without true rudder pedals.
Triplets got owned tonight in the da. Definitely the JG54 guys. Vultchy = Larry, the other two are less skilled but probably a couple of his buddies, you guys make your own deductions. Seems beneath larry to be hanging out with such a couple of mouthy tards but whatever.
Yeah and everyone thinks I'm storch, only a few have figured it out...
how did you figure out its larry?
now see? vultchy is usually the one to makea sweetie of himself. rammey is generally pretty cool, win or lose.
i've also gotten the word from storch, that he is not any of them, nor is he antivortex, and i think i recall him saying that larry is not any of them, although i'm not sure.
Rammey always gets out of control on me. I dont know if its cause the stupid number next to my name, as he always references it. Maybe i called his mom the wrong name one night, who knows. All i know is that Ive gone a long time without saying anything to any of them and they never let up. I have had the same results as cap. Rammey is the only one that will fight 1V1 and it is almost always up close and personal. Every kill on me by the other 2 dweebs are either picks or ho's. I wouldnt care so much i guess if they didnt prance around on 200 or all channel gloating at their latest Grumpy pick or kill, im way to old for this crap. I know HTC says they pay their money and that is that but I pay my money too, and its not to listen to the garbage they spit out every night.
thats ok they are making new friends in LW last night also Rammey kept calling Grizz out to the DA and so On I basically went back to arena hopping. Was even in Ava last night and have to say thanks to jaeger1 for giving me some good screenies of my deaths will be posted sometime over the weekend.
just got wind of a nasty rumor.......apparently storch is flying under a shade.........as one of these three......i'll try to dig deeper to see who is him.
And they've gotten exactly what they want. Everyone talking about them or getting worked up about them. Some things never change, shade or no shade :)
SHHHHHH!!!! I'm casting bread upon the water!!!
What's funny is that they trolled me and kappa into the DA only to get their tulips handed to them. Clinging for an excuse, they accused us of breaking our prearranged alt cap and said they'd post the film to prove we are cheaters. All we could do was laugh at them and tell them to post it. I don't think we'll be seeing that film anytime soon.
I don't think they're good enough to be Larry and N7. Even my rusty arse can beat them with relative ease. back when I fought both of them in the AvA frequently, Larry was probably a bit better than I, and N7 was about the same in skill. Fights were always fun with him because you knew if you'd get shot down, he would troll on 200. :)
The ghosts of players past haunting the AvA. :noid
well.....they may be having trouble due to the lack of icons.
now that grizz mentions it, it could be them, although that would make me much better than i thought i was.....'cause that means i can beat larry, n7, and storchie....and i don't recall ever beating them before. WOOHOO!! :devil
This just in.
Be careful when investigating shiny things. Some weird people dangle hooks underneath them. I lucked out and got thrown back.
*checks*TSA agents? :noid
no lost time, no fuzzy memories, just a feeling of being pulled out of the forum, investigated by.. AAAUUUGHHHHH!!!!! :noid :bolt:
OK, fun's over folks, let's get back on the bus.
Time for this thread to end.
- oldman (credits to Firesign Theatre for those old enuf to remember)
if it is larry, storch and N7, i agree with in cap saying I am much better then i thought i was. i would venture to say that N7 = rammey then since he really is the only one that shows any kind of real skill. If had a number of fights with N7 in MW. Sadly one of their own squadies works very hard to make the AvA what it is.
For the last time, I don't play anymore, and if I did I would be under ''Larry'' or ''TrueKill''!!
Whatever grizz. You people are like a bunch of teenage girls spreading lies and rumors around with nothing to back them up. Its starting to get pathetic.
Or maybe I'm denying it because I don't fly under shades.
I personally don't think TK would bother but I've been wrong before.
Frankly my care o meter spikes at about.010%
Happy holidays TK.
Or maybe I'm denying it because I don't fly under shades.
i would say that if you ARE one of them, then it would have to be vultchy...
it's actually a twitch somewhere in my left big toe. It also gets a bit grumpy when cold weather is moving in :P
Correct! :aok
