The 82nd will come back, but not for a while. I plan on restarting the squad when I get more free time. Right now the only thing keeping me from the game is the lack of time to play. :pray Of course, some of the other 82nd boys might start up before I have the time.

Update:
The 82nd will be reactivated mid June [exact date TBA]. I'm in the process of finishing up the kinks and what not but as a unit the 82nd as well as myself will be airborne before July. All past 82nd personnel wishing to regroup and reorganize the unit can reach me via PM on the AH BBS.
A lot of changes to be made but as far as the general and original message and orientation of the unit will remain the same. Looking forward to putting the Lightnings back overhead. I'll keep everyone updated via this thread.

haha wow i love the 82nd id like to know when the recruiting is so i can try out, im pretty good in the p38. me and few other squadies did a 3vs3 with a few 82nd i think it was efhexx merc and forktail, good group of guys in that 38j model i got 2 outta 3 but efhexx did some manevuer and got me lol. <S> 82nd fighter group, id really like to know what when your next tryouts are.

82nd are currently looking for more P38 enthusiasts! We are an organized fighter group composed of four different flights: HQ Flight (Red Flight), 95th FS "Cardsharp" (Blue Flight), 96th FS "Cowtail" (Yellow Flight), and 97th FS "Fordcar" (Purple Flight). Each flight has a CO and assigned members under them. These flights are used to divide up the Chain of Command during squadron operations, FSO, and other scenarios/events. We are looking for people who are willing to fly in an organized and disciplined group. We always make it our top priority to have fun. Not everything is strictly P38 and wingman tactics. However, all ACM, BFM, wingman tactics and formation flying comes standard amongst all 82nd members. We are willing to teach new and old players alike. If youre looking for something different than the usual "furball all by yourself", then check us out!

Howdy DB, just a heads up, the 82nd has closed its doors and turned the lights out in the hanger. Its not active at the moment.
I think your best bet would be to check out the 20th, Great guys with a great CO (321Bar) and XO(Wildcat)

Just a update:
Don't plan on letting the unit die out, as long as I still have the drive to push it I'll still be C.O. , College is over for me now and I'll be heading back home soon enough. I'll be gradually picking up the pieces and proceeding forward with the squadron.
I think I've been M.I.A. for long enough, I miss the guys and the game!
