About 7 years later...MSC has been rebooted.
Too many sounds have been changed and modified. :cool:
I'll write readme later. Because I'm really tired of making the sounds anymore. :D
I'm happy if you'll feel more exciting battlefield in the Aces High with my sound pack. :salute

Yes, we can. and you did it. :D
I made sounds with 16bit 22k because it's well balanced for all AH players.
(btw my old one was all 8bit 22k.)

Can you help me identify the sounds in Blue marked with a question mark???
Hit is 50 cal hitting plane
Hit_4 is small caliber like 303
Hit_5 is 20_mm
Hit_6 for planes is direct puffy ack hit or tank round.. In tanks it's just Tank rounds but can sound different than what a plane hears if you set it that way.
Explode1 is CV guns
Explode2 is Puffy ack
Explode3 is ????????
Explode4 is ???????????
Explode5 is ??????????
Explode6 is ??
Is there an Explode7???
Final question....does adding a #1 or an underscore _ or an A,B or C after Explode do anything??????

Ok, what am I doing wrong? I downloaded Mitsu's sounds. I used to have them on different
system before Windows 7. All I did back then was:
1) download and save. 2) rename old ah sounds
3) create new folder and name sounds 5) extract new sounds to new ah folder.
Now, I've done that, tried to copy and paste, click and drag, etc.
I even tried deleting AH sound folder. Nothing seems to work.
No matter what, I'm still getting default engine start sound. Ideas?

Look inside the ZIP file you downloaded, you will see a folder and inside that folder there is a folder called Sounds. Just copy the Sounds folder into your Aces High II folder. No renaming needed.

I'm planning to release the 3.01 soon.
I will upload a patch for 3.00 users, and full version. :)
A new version includes fixes and new sounds.

Probably so. You could also ask Skuzzy to change the thread title to Mitsu's sound pack 3.0 or such.

Maybe you could find something you could use in these sounds I've made.
Not organized exactly as i made them and put them here for distribution. Some of the file names i changed to use for other stuff in my HTC sounds folder.
I have a few more scattered in another folder that haven't been heard

Just curious, are all the German tanks supposed to sound like King Tigers in start up? They weren't on you old sound pack, you could tell the identity of any tank at start up.

Do you mean the .zip at the end of the file name? It means it is compressed with a very common file compression system. I believe Windows can natively open ZIP files.

A small patch 3.081 is released.
It contains Brew/F4F/FM2/SBD/TBM engine sound.
Those sounds have been tweaked. I believe it sounds better.

How do I download Mitsu's custom sounds. I am ignorant of such things, I mean really ignorant. I have heard a lot about the sounds of Mitsu and would like to try them. Thanks.

Click the link on the first post of this thread and save the file to your desktop.
Next go to My Computer/Local Disk C:/Hitech Creations/Aces High.
Then open the file you downladed. Open that up till you find the folder called Sounds. Just drag this folder into the Aces High folder and click yes if it asks if you want to replace a file called 'cleaned'.
That should do it, call back in if you have trouble.

Was wondering if we can get a custom p-39 37mm cannon firing sound, everyone made so far is off on the rate of fire by miles!
I had a custom one i cut the sound on, i think it was a round every 1.2 seconds or so. Hope it helps. Would be great to have.

Not sure if this is sound pack or AH related, but the Explode1 for CV guns CANNOT be turned down. I've got it a 0 and the CV 8" guns still are way loud.
Please help if able.

I just cannot get this to work. Never had an issue before using sounds packs but despite them all being in the folder and accessible to listen to, they simply refuse to play in game, though I still have all the original sounds, despite the original sounds folder beimg removed and renamed :headscratch:

Yes; just don't know how to go about doing it. Have the soundpack downloaded though.

Open your Aces High folder (usually C:\\Program Files\Aces High) and find the folder called "Sounds". Rename the Sounds folder to something like "Backup Sounds". Open the downloaded file and copy the folder in it called "Sounds" into your Aces High folder. Done.
