Most of the MA friendly American, British and German aircraft have been added.  Sure, there are a few left and variants of existing airframes, but for new MA friendly airframes HTC is going to have to turn to the Russians, Japanese and Italians for the most part.

One issue I have with the J2m is I have absolutely no information on it. From what I know it was an interceptor, that sacrificed maneuverability for speed/climb rate and was designed to shoot down buffs, however what I am puzzled at is most information gives says it did not have a turbocharger.

Basically its an early model P40 with 4x 20mms and uses boom and zoom tactics to hit buffs, but I do recall very few were ever made.

Only thing I do recall is they were introduced in late 1944 in small numbers, but it gives no information exactly where.

Read this thread:

Some nice photos in there too.

Butcher,

I wasn't aware that the early P-40s could do 382mph.  As far as sacrificing maneuverability, that is true, from a Japanese perspective.  It had wing loading of 36lbs/sq.ft and had fowler flaps as I recall.  American pilots who tested it post war praised its handling.
