I did a search for this problem and could not find any help.
The zoom will not work at all. It was working fine until I went to adjust the zoom with the brackets and now it will not work at all. I checked the mapping for the Z key and it is ok and I also checked the control button on the joystick and it is also fine.
I went as far as mapping another key and another button with no change.
I unistalled the game and deleted all files. Then I reloaded the game and still have the same problem.
It seems like some of the keys are not working in the game, but when I go into map keys and push the key I think is not working it highlights that key so I figure it is working ok.
I have not loaded any custom sounds and the skins were downloaded through the game.
I would be thankful for any help with this matter as I can not zoom at all while in a tank. I do not really need it for flying, but for the ground game it is a necessity.
Thanks and Salute

These keys will not work if you have "zoom FOV" mapped to an analog input. Just an FYI. Not sure if this applies to you.
-
Thanks for the reply Krusty. I am not exaclty sure what you mean by zoom FOV mapped to an analog input. If you could explain further I would like to check this out and make sure it is not enabled. Thanks

if you tie your zoom Field Of View to an analog input like a rotary knob, or any un-used "axis" you have open on your controllers.

what i am thinking happen here is,
you stated you hit Z then played with the [ ] keys and it stoped working. try this go into the game up a panzer hit the Z key then with out touching any other key hit the ] key and i am thinking it will zoom.
what i am thinking you did was while in zoom (after you hit the Z key the first time) you hit the [ key and zoomed all the way out, with out noticing. from there you prolly hit the Z key again trying to get back into zoom but it didnt work. so hint the reason you think it does not work but shows up on mapped keys.
try this and let me know if it works.

try a diff. key board

Just hit default zoom. Check if its not mapped to a key and map it pronto. Default is shift+z (i think). Every time you fidget with zoom using [ & ] hit shift+z to return to default zoom settings (bit like hitting Home for head position).
Hope this helps!:aok

Hey Marshal did any of this fix the problem?????
-
Thank you to everyone. The Zoom is working again. I am not sure how I fixed it but I tried everything that you guys suggested and something worked. Before asking for help I mapped the slider to zoom and it did not help. So after reading all your responses I took zoom off of the slider and then hit the default zoom and presto the zoom is working again. Thank you again for all your help. I can now zoom in a tank to watch the incoming round kill me. LOL

Also if your like me and looking for a fix to your zoom here is what happened to me.
I was in a tank and my gunsight kept drifting down so I calibrated my joystick.
Well I forgot to calibrate my FOV slider. This may not sound like much but it will pork you zoom and the keyboard commands do not work if you have a slider attached for some reason.
So if you calibrate your joystick don't forget to calibrate all of the sliders to.
Hope this helps.
