Title: Clipboard Sliders Detail
Post by: 100Coogn on September 03, 2012, 04:32:27 PM
Could we have a little more description on what the sliders actually do.  I'm just using the mouse sensitivity as an example.  There are more.
How are we supposed to know which way we move the slider, will impact mouse sensitivity?
I know, I know, just click apply to test it.  As I've said though this is only one example.
I believe it'd make things a little easier for the new folks, and for some that's been here for a few years, if the clipboard menus were a little more detailed.

I don't know, you could almost consider something like 'which way do you move the slider to increase the Mouse Sensitivity' to be an intelligence test.

If they can't guess that you move it to the right to increase it they probably shouldn't try anything complex like flying a plane or driving a tank

Thank you for your well thought reply.
That's what I'm getting at.  AHII has a quite high learning curve, why make the tools available to us unclear on how to use.
Glad you got this game mastered.

The sliders are sometimes unclear as to what they do, I'll give you that (thinking mainly of some of the advanced graphical options).

why make the tools available to us unclear on how to use.

unclear how to use? come on, really? it's a slider bar :headscratch:

and you wish for HTC to spend their limited time adding explanations for short bus pilots on how to use a slider bar

OK

Don't know as to whether I would refer to people as short-bus.  That's a little rude and unnecessary.
HTC can work on this if or when he chooses to.

I think what coogan is trying to say is to have a description of what the buttons and sliders do in the clipboard. Maybe when you hover the mouse pointer over the said slider and having a small window show up?
BTW  Have a Pall Mall and a cup of coffee and relax...

does not compute, caffeine is a stimulant :)

I understand about the lack of descriptions for what some of the sliders do, and posted to that effect

I honestly don't understand the need for instructions on how slider bars work  :huh

Coogan wanted a description of what the sliders do, not how they work...
