The only plane that definately adds something for everyone (EW, MW, LW, Scenario, FSO, AvA) is the Ki-43. The G.55 would give the Regia Aeronautica lovers something that can drop a bomb at last; the He-111 only adds for BoB, unless they will perk the Ju-88 in EW. Beau & 410 don't add anything we don't already have in one fashion or another. Yak-3 adds the least to AH; just another LW uber ride.
So I choose for the Ki-43, even over my beloved Fiat G.55!

the bomb dropping Italian uber-bird: G.55!
It wasn't uber, it was a good mid war fighter. And, regarding the bombs, I don't know what HTC policy about weapons is, but even the 202 and 205 could carry bombs under wing: since they rarely did it (the 55, AFAIK, never used bombs during the war), I guess the Grapevine boys chose not to code them for said planes (even though I'd really like to see them added when the planes will be redone).
Finally, it's better to say it again, this poll WILL NOT RESULT in any new aircraft being added to the game, it's just to see what people want and to prove a theory of Raptor's.
While I'm posting, since the 111 is doing fine by itself, my vote goes to the

ok ill take the he 111 out of this... but we need to do another one of these for vehicles only. most of the GVs in round one were voted near top but not enough to beat planes. id like another one of these please. GV only... HE 111 though

You don't need to post the results every other post, I have been intentionally not commenting on results until deadline even though results accessible to anyone that may wish to tally them up. Also you seem to have counted a couple people twice.

Again, my thoughts (as backed by the poll results) show that more people would rather see new planes than vehicles. I am considering all machines equal.

And looking at both the MA and Scenario/FSO/Snapshots, would suggest the Beaufighter would get a great deal of use as it was in combat from 40-45 in the ETO/MTO/CBI/PTO. The use of the Beau with it's variety of armament and ord, would keep it busy inthe MA
For scenario use the He-111 is certainly one that would get used and is needed. It's survivability in the MA would be in question as would it's use once the novelty wears off.

Mossie was clearly a better Night Fighter. However, given the longer range, heavier Beau was more effective on Anti-Shipping and Ground Attack operations, than the Mossie. The Beau also carried a Torpedo.

Yep. Participate accurately in scenarios from the Bismarck Sea to the CBI (where the Mossie didn't last due to the heat effects on the wooden wonder) to North Africa etc.
The Aussies used it extensively in the PTO alongside the 5th AF. And as mentioned the TMkX lugged a mean torpedo along with the rocket or bomb loads it could take as a fighter bomber.
Again I don't disagree on the He-111 or Ki-43 as they both are needed to expand the scenario plane set. I don't see either as being highly used in the MA. In essence the He-111 is on the list to make sure the Battle of Britain can be run better. The Ki-43 would fill a big gap in the Japanese plane set and help with early-midwar PTO scenarios

Why does everyone want the He-111? I'm betting that it will get massacred in the MA just like the 88 does now. Only place it will be effective is in EW, and 50 people play in EW.

FSO = once a week, and not every FSO is going to have a He111 involved.
BOB = once every 1-2 years
And explain how it is awesome please.
I'm not trying to be an ass, but there will not be much use for this in the MA's, where the majority of the action takes place.

I completely understand were your coming from..honestly.
But I want it cause I love the earlier warbirds...He-111 iis also one of my favorite bombers besides the b17. Its really for personal reasons mostly

In HiTech's polls they try to narrow it down to one, but usually include a couple (for example they included P39 because B25 barely beat it out

Raptor you have had many requests to start a vehicle only poll. Just try it and see what happens. Yes you will still keep your plane poll but some mighty interesting and fun vehicles could emerge.

Gotta go with the He 111 to fill a big hole in the BoB plane set, more or less completing it.

"G-55 Centaur".. series 0 or 1.. Tho the 1 series with it's 3 x 20 MG 151/20s and 2 x 12.7mm makes for a great gun package and at a Max weight of 3.520 KG = ( 7,760 lbs :neener:) and with the Daimler-Benz DB 605A- spinning it's prop , for myself she's 1 sexy plain :aok . The HE-111 would be a great addition for FSO and Scenarios , and the 410 would be great for hunting buffs and has the guns and power to be very versatile...

Hooray for horrible bombers. They'll be applicable to some scenarios yes, but as far as long term MA use? Doubt we will see much of that.

I use the word horrible with respect to its probable performance/use in the AH main arenas, not its history. I was just hoping the next plane released would be something that could impact the LW arenas. And "in 1940" just doesn't make me think this will happen.

Yeah, but some of us don't care much for the MAs, it's dominated by late-war rides anyway. The MAs suffer problems not related to the planes available. More of the late-war rides would not make the MA better in any way but adding early-mid war planes adds immeasurably to scenarios and FSOs. The 111 represent something that people have wanted for years and years, a complete Battle of Britain planeset.

You make a very valid point concerning the 111 and scenarios, it's hard to argue with the support it has received here. I'm pressed for time at the moment but will add more to the discussion later tonight.

Nothing will make an impact on the MA. It will just be another bomber to replace the bomber that used to be used. Everything other than that will remain exactly the same. Gameplay doesn't change...
