ok, i just wanna know what just happened?heres the senario.my squad flies for a hour and a half, sees nothing.then we find a whole squad of p51'S,about 5-7.we have 9 of us.then,as we engage we are ordered to ceasefire.we follow orders and disengage.then we get shot down as we are returning to base?
now,I really dont care that it wont count in points that we got shot,or that youll never know how much we were about to cream them and score it right.or that we cant get the score from 2 weeks ago.
I wanna hear from waxman, why would you call a cease fire?ive been flying tods for 5 years now and ive never seen anyone call a ceasefire unless theres 10 people left flying and theres 10 minutes left?why at +90 with 30 in the air (in a dogfight)would you quit?did you quit, wtf happened?
you might as well squelch this conversation now midnight, its about to get too rough for ya,DONT MAKE ME YELL.lol
-
I called a cease fire because at the time we had 13 in the air and they had 50. There was no way it would have made a difference and I didn't see any further point in continuing. Before you post something like this get your facts straight.
-
your absolutly right wax,i should have had my facts straight.i was a little busy with the 2 enemy in my cross hairs too do an accurate count.
ok,so now that there straight,we had 63 people still flying, why would you call it over?so were loosing?why quit?
dont get me wrong,im not tryin to start chit, and i know how hard runnin this can be,but why man why.if your gettin kicked while you down in real life,do you cry and beg them to stop?or try to grab the leg and break it?
yes we were outnumbered, but it was 2 of our squads fighting together ,killin a bunch of 51s and tryin to catch the exiting bombers, why would you quit?we had the upper hand and plenty of time.i just dont get it?
in my opinion, they will never be able to score this fso fairly(if they ever do),and the whole thing is a wash.cause we called a ceasefire with no warning, yet the allied didnt cease.good luck figuring that one out.
whatever,im over it,i followed your orders even though i disagreed, because you were my commander,so i stand behind your desicion even if i dont understand it,and no one can explain it.now theres some realizim huh veterans?()
and no i wont leave fso,i love it
-
SNAFU!!!
Seems to be the MO in FSO lately.
-
Sqwigly, no one asked you to leave FSO.
However, you are right. I should have asked if anyone was engaged before conceding the frame. I apologize. After commanding about a dozen of these frames this was the first time I was in such a situation. Should I be in the same situation again, I will communicate my intentions before acting on them.
-
its all good,my headache this morning tells me the jager did the talkin for me last night.
durring my hissy fit at the end i was told to not fly anymore, thats why i said that.
wax.nice try

You know it is funny you would say that, I know lots of people that think a bunch of guys sitting around playing "video games" are just a bunch of "dorks".
I guess that would include you, huh?
:D
-
SLED, how many times have I told you to not call me hun in public. People may get wise.
Actually, my wife made that comment. I, by way of 12 years of "yes dear", typed it in.
Yes, I am a dork.
:D
-
Oops! Sorry, I know you told me not to tell anyone.
I changed it to prevent further embarsement.:lol
-
my girl called me a dork once,i told her "its not just a video game, were a squad of freinds that fly together."
she asked"and your the leader?"
i said"yeah"
she then called me the "king of the dorks".
the nickname has spread a little further than i wanted it.

sqwigly, Wax glad you guys settled it. Well done gents.
For what it is worth I never let anyone, (commanders on both sides or the setup CM) call the frame early. Let it play out the 2 full hours. Warn them it is ending soon, give em 30, 20, 10 and 5 minute warnings, but nothing else. My .02 It is a non issue if you just let it play out.
No one ever knows if someone is engaged some where else, but they are fighting and have no time to type a msg.
