In multiple sorties. 500 points pls :pray

-100 We have to many ack runners and pickers now. We don't need anything to encourage that type of game play.

Using only 40 ENY planes, sure. I would like to see one of these chest puffing aces even attempt to pull that off.

Why force people to fly a certain plane?
-
How do you think people hungry for stars are going to pull this off? That's right.
A wirb at the end of a deacked runway without ords.
Ack runners
Pickers
HOers
etc.
That's what you're encouraging.
The very thing that drives people away from this game.

In fighters. And if you think one achievement is going to make the entire population play even more carefully then they already do, your wrong. Only those who already fly like this would even try.
-
I don't think anyone is gonna be able to do this.

Because it would be a difficult challenge.
For example, try to get 100k/0d in a 109 K4. Now repeat the same feat in a 109 E4. :)
Spit XIV - Spit I
F4F-4 - F4U-4
Getting 100/0 in a La-7/P51D/Tempest/262 is probably not all that hard to do if you are not only good, but can fly like a eunuch. I could get it in the 262 without breaking a sweat, yet get routinely pwned by the leet crowd - and also by some much less so.
You could do it this way:
100 points for 100/0 in any plane
250 points for 100/0 in mid war planes
500 points for 100/0 in early war planes
They could even be scaled like the other achievements:
100/0 in any plane- 100/0 in mid war planes- 100/0 in early war planes-
10/0 - 10 points 10/0 - 20 points 10/0 - 25 points
25/0 - 25 points 25/0 - 50 points 25/0 - 75 points
50/0 - 50 points 50/0 - 100 points 50/0 - 150 points
75/0 - 75 points 75/0 - 175 points 75/0 - 250 points
100/0 - 100 points 100/0 - 250 points 100/0 - 500 points

Unless you made sure all your fights were 1v1 or 2v1... there is no way you could get a k/d of 100 in a 40 eny plane without going to 30k and doing the same tactics as late war planes.
-
Doing it in a 40 eny plane would be next to impossible.
-
Bunch of whiny folks here.
+1 to the OP.
Anyone that can get 100 kills in a fighter without getting dead deserves a pat on the back.

By who?
Except Fester who I believe has done it for sure.

TonyJoey got 351 before dying in a P51 I believe.
-
Oh Jesus this whole time I forgot it's "multiple" sorties not a "single". :bhead
Yeah TJ did it Fester, Kazaa, and a few others.

Grizz had 99 in a 262 single sortie(with re arms).

GVs don't count. It doesn't take any skill except enough to get 100 perks for a tiger 2 and then camp a spawn all afternoon.

I wasn't in a tiger two, they weren't in game yet when I did that and nowhere in this thread title did it say GVs don't count, but feel free to change the rules after the fact,, oh and that's one sortie, but it's all good, I was just playin, didn't mean to get you all riled up! :airplane:

Were you in a TigerI? :ahand

352 kills without dying was my goal for most of a decade.
made it to 294 kills with no deaths then an ostwind clipped me in tour 151 late war.

That's still very good, wtg.
-
I too have sought the magical 352 kills for a long time. Best I've done is 167, and lost a wing attacking a Lancaster. I've hit 100 about 20 times.
352 is a daunting task, and to do it in real life, well, :salute Hartmann !

Maybe if you flew a little lower you'd find more things to shoot. :P
I think the best streak I ever had was 2 kills. :lol

No need for two or three digit numbers when you can use two fingers. :)

Keep in mind that he crashed quite a few times (14 times) while going to 352, had a lot of luck that he didnt get killed or injured.
-
Yes, but he survived those crashes so to equate it to the game I would accept a ditch but not a ditch in enemy territory because he would have most likely been captured. I would also find "bails" acceptable, again, only if done over friendly territory.
-
Yes, Bails and ditches should not be counted in the streak but kill or capture will end it. After all, a lot of pilots bailed or crached during the war only to take off in another plane.
It was a lot about luck, Marseille for ex, only needed one bail to end his career...
-
Bails should be game over. We can bail out going in a nosedive at 600mph, they could not.
-
Last tour was my first time going for over 100. I reached 124 and died due to blacking out of from pulling too hard trying to make a shot. Eeeek
I am going to try in the 109g14 this tour, which I think will be tough but a fun challenge!
-
I have no idea my tally though I suspect it was 30-40 kills somewhere. I remember reading messages of landing 25 kills without a loss, and maybe I read that at 50, though I might be 'misremembering' that, or it was something else. If I really wanted to approach 100 I think I could though it would be boring. Very long flights, only engage when you have the perfect perch to launch from, etc, etc.
I love those long sorties though I also love upping a Yak3 from a mostly capped base and seeing how many vulchtards I can get to auger as we bust the weak cap. To each their own.
boo
-
How about 100 deaths without a kill? I can do that.
-
I think it would be cool to have the 100 kill for no death achievement. But I'm not really that concerned with achievments so it don't really matter. But I think it's a good idea.
-

Truth be known. The guy that dies more is a bigger benefit to the game. Reward him. Killing everyone and going home is its own reward.
-
100 deaths w/o a kill is hard. its always some lawndard that gives u a proxie :bhead
-
but proxie kills dont count :D
-
Amen Buckshot :bhead what will we call that one "The Gomer Pyle Achievment" :bolt:

Really? I thought I was the only one that went over 300. Hmm . . .

This was at least a year ago....but I do remember TJ having a tour with an insane run before he died.
-
I don't think anyone is gonna be able to do this.
Heck I am sure some clowns have done it already. De-ack base, get some squadies as low alt vulchers, then one sits high and picks off incoming defenders, change high perch guy, rinse and repeat. LOL
-
Levi and myself along with several others here on the AH BBS, had this discussion of making it to 100+ kills/0 deaths, somewhere around 10 to 12 years ago...
and iirc, the very next new tour, whels went and made it to something like 120+ before getting shot down...although whels would usually make it to over 100+K/0D on nearly a monthly basis...
This thread reminded me of that discussion and of my ol' longtime friend/brother....
