Any thoughts on the colors of the nose art?

The artwork background?

The letters look darker than OD in the closeup...   Black?

Yes, black for the letters and OD for the pinup background. The pinup looks white to me.

I'd say OD or dark blue for the nose art background. The dress appears to be just slightly darker than the flesh tone, I'd probably go with light blue rather than pink so as to contrast more with her skin.

I think I will do it as 355th with the regular YF.
