This is an offline mission I made using USRanger's new Lost Souls Hell map. So if you don't have it, you can get it here http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php/topic,281202.0.html
This mission has some sound FX and music which I think adds to the feel of the terrain. Much thanks to Ranger for the freakin sweet arse terrain! :salute Enjoy folks :devil

Hmm, every time I click on the .zip download, it takes me to the esnips home page. Anyone succeed in downloading it yet?
-
yep
-
I'm going to make some changes to it tonight.
-
Hmm, I had to log in to my esnips account before it would let me download. Hopefully it's just me. Fun mission. :aok

I made some changes. I took out the Hellcats and replaced them with the 190's that Ranger skinned for this map, so all aircraft involved are only the repainted aircraft. I also fixed the waypoints so that all of the flights stay in the area longer. Those of you who already downloaded the first version will get to have both. If you want the original let me know I will load it. Enjoy.

Thanks very much for your work & share Ares. :salute

Dude, can you make a .wma of that song. It is sweet!!! I want it for my friend. He loves that song!!!

Ugh....these forums have long been a place for intellectual discusion, and congregation, but I feel you are single-handidly lowering the average IQ
why not just download a converter program yourself to convert the .mp3?

Seriously! Just copy the mp3 file to your desktop and use this: http://download.cnet.com/Free-Mp3-Wma-Converter/3000-2140_4-10442362.html
And if you don't like music with your mission, delete the dog-gone file. I for one am appreciative & grateful to the guys taking the time designing these missions...I wouldn't have the gall to ask them to further tailor it to my individual wishes.

Where's the file!!!
Huh?
That's right! It's not there!!!
Damn, people are stupid.
-
Perhaps you should look in the mirror before making such accusations. People here have extended quite a few courtesies, you're quite blessed compared to others who act like you.

Why do I feel like you are the kid on the far right?

I know...I'm addressing one right now! Though my 8 yrs of computer science education didn't delve into this, a little common sense & logic do. There are .wav files within the misress folder that contain the music info~~~did you think the mission just magically played music on it's own? As for your snippy wise arse attitude, see if THAT gets you any help in the future...Dude.

I did not include the .mis file in the zip, so I don't think anyone would be able to extract the song from the .res file. As I understand it, the .mis is the file that is used by ME, and any changes to the mission must be made via that file, or am I wrong. Let's try to keep this civil shall we? I believe we can have a discussion about this without it degenerating to name calling.
-
You are correct Ares, but that res file can be opened and altered/recoded by anyone as it's not a 'read-only' folder. I've tweaked some of Ranger's missions to my personal tastes that way using the miss editor & recoding the Javascript. Being in computer forensics, I have some spiffy software that allows it to be easily done so I haven't tried it with notepad.
-
LOL- yeah, I figure those who are way more computer savvy than I would be able to break it down. With regards to computers and programs, I dont' think anything is impossible. The average Joe like me wouldn't know how.
-
What's The Name Of The Song Then?
-
Sorry, yes the name of the song is Skeletons of Society by Slayer.
-
Is there a site I can find it at, sir? :headscratch:
-
Oops! I must have hit enter too many time. :lol
-
Have you learned about the "Modify" button? You can buy the song online at amazon.com.
-
Yeah, I imagine sites like Raphsody, Yahoo Music, Amazon, etc. you would be able to purchase the download usually they are $0.99 per song. Or you can buy the CD at a record store (if they still exist). I just pulled the song off of the CD with Windows Media Player. NCH Software makes a great program called Switch Sound File Converter that allows you to convert music into any format, customize bit rates, yadda-yadda-yadda, and it is freeware.
