How come you bring a bomber (if you do) to shut down a good GV fight that has little bearing on a base capture.
Or worse, again if you do, fly a sector plus to go drop the VH where the players doing know there’s a good GV fight going on?
Seeing it a lot lately. Yes I understand most would do this if they thought it was to save the base, but I’m seeing many of the same players doing this regularly now.
Of course I know this post won’t be read by very many of said players, but lots here chat on Vox and read the chat buffers.
Just curious to their motivations.

My guess would be boredom and not realizing there is an active fight on the ground from 15k

Somebody has in their signature Das fun killer referring to dropping FH’s when theirs a fur ball...same thing.

For me, its all about defending a base or capturing a base. That is my objective, it has nothing to do with ruining someone else's fun. I need a reason to fight, and fighting to just fight is not a reason in my book. :bolt:

I once thought it would be helpful to new players if I wrote a brief description of all the many and varied ways one could play and have fun in this game. I started out just listing all the different ways I'd found to play the game and soon realized that not only was the list way too long, it was growing as I made it because I kept getting new ideas as I wrote. The job was much bigger than I anticipated so I had to set it aside.
That was a good thing because I've been playing for a very very long time and never once gotten bored with the almost endless variety in the game play. The reason is that even if you just put people together in an empty arena with a way to interact, they are going to find countless ways to do it, and the only thing you can be certain of is that it will stoke enough conflict and emotion to feed endless hours of game play and perpetuate itself with ever increasing ingenuity. Seriously, I think some people are still fighting over the sheep, and I haven't seen one in the game for longer than I can recall.
So, every time I see someone doing something in this game that I haven't seen before, or can't figure out, I know for sure that some one has found yet another way to play and have fun. The great thing is that someone will take exception to it and do their best to stop them, and the whole thing just becomes even more entertaining and enjoyable as the virtual death toll rises, all lubricated by the tears, laughter, shame and glory of the participants.
There is only one thing to do... Take part in it, marvel at it, complain about it, revel in it, but mostly just enjoy it for what it is and how it evolves... An endless source of fun.

The same question could be asked about those who spawn camp, and continue to shoot uppers for score, resulting in no more uppers at the spawn.

Because I don't know it has little bearing on base capture. I see a bunch of GV's attacking a base, so I kill the VH to help my team mates. If I have a chance and I am not sure, I will check with the team mates in the fight before killing the VH. Communication is the key. Sometimes when I ask, I get no response. When I get a response, I honor the request, whether the request is to kill the VH or leave it alone.

I just looked at the GV score for the last tour. Yes there are several players in the top 50 who spawn camp but the majority don’t. It would seem then that it’s not a very good method to increase score.

Personally I don’t play for score, very rarely even look at it when I look at the in game roster.

That’s very considerate of you.
What I seem to see a lot is players shutting down VH, thinking if they do that those GV’rs will go fly planes.

There is a solution, and it is very effective. You see veteran players doing it all the time.
Go take down ords.
There are players that fly all the way to a v base to bomb gv's, instead of upping a gv at said v base.

If you really feel motivated.......go bomb their ammo strats first so their ammo bunkers stay down even longer. :rock
There are players that only occupy manned guns. That is all they do.
