Ive been looking for a list or something i can screen shot for a few hours. Went through the website and forum and asked in game. The only thing i found was a short list a player made himself in 2013 wich i do not think is accurate now. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

Did you look at bombers on the trainer's site?
http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/81-tactics/bomber/1039-level-bombing-techniques
-
Gosh, does that need updating. :old:
-
You volunteering?
Of course not.
-
I could do it. :D
-
Firebird,
You can always look while you're in the game by looking at the arena settings of the arena you are in. Bring up the clipboard, then click on options>arena setup>objects>object settings. 1=1,000lbs. So, a hanger is 2.7=2,700lbs, but 3,000lbs would be better. FLS gave you a good lead for a list. I'm not sure all of them are correct, but you can check them against the arena settings to be sure. Usually, all the Malee arenas have the same settings. If you would like maps of all object locations and some other helpful information, send me a private message with your e-mail address and I will be happy to send them to you. If you see me in the game, I will gladly give you help with anything you may have a problem with.
Cheers, One-eye

The only object damage setting that had been changed in the past decade was the HQ.

There's more than that missing from the page. According to it, the Ar 234B is "the only perk bomber currently in the game." The B-29 didn't exist yet. The shots of the game aren't AH3 graphics. The field maps are outdated. But an update for the HQ would save me some time. :)

There is old information on the site because I thought that was better than no information. The site could be better but it's useful as is.
HTC requested an update to the site for Aces High III. When Kanth and I updated the trainer's site we asked for help. Nobody else stepped up. No trainers, no players.
Edit: There were years of discussion of a new site prior to Skuzzy asking the trainers to get it done and some players did volunteer to work on new web pages but nothing was actually posted on the site. We did have plenty of people telling us what somebody else should do.

Guess my stepping up threw ya. ;)

I'll believe it when I see it. :aok
BTW I currently have no access to the site. Last time I talked to Kanth about it she wasn't able to access it and I don't recall a response from Skuzzy other than she should be able to.

Then I guess I can't make you a believer until this becomes doable. :D

Your usual nonsensical false equivalence doesn't fill me with hope. Good edit. :aok
I expect Hitech can provide access but I wouldn't waste his time with good intentions. Do the work first. If it doesn't go on the training site it could go to the main site Help page.

My usual false equivalence? If I didn't know better I would think you have a personal issue here. No wonder the coffers were full when it comes to volunteers before me that put up rather than shut up. How can I walk away from such encouragement? :D
(Sure, I can whip up a WIX page. Why not? It's not like this is hard. Besides, I like ya. Can you run interference for "Copyright © 2019 Aces High Trainers Site. All Rights Reserved?")

Great info Arlo! Have those pages been available for awhile or brand new? In any case, they should be sticky'd or showcased SOMEWHERE. Mind if I post the link on the AH3 FB page?

The page is from the old training site and it's on the current site. Arlo copy/pasted the page to update the graphics. I assume he added our names to the top as a joke.
Here is the current page again. http://trainers.hitechcreations.com/81-tactics/bomber/1039-level-bombing-techniques

If you look closely, I also added applicable text (IMO) and images that aren't mere updates. The names were given to give credit where credit is due (Hammer being the primary contributor, my being secondary and you being inspiration for this effort). Souces for the additional text come from AH Wiki, Wiki and my own observations. Feedback/constructive criticism is encouraged. :D
There've been 7 level bombers added to the game since Hammer's original page. Here's my link, again, for comparison: https://arlogu3.wixsite.com/ah-level-bombing
(If you challenge me to do something I enjoy and can do, expect quick results.) :aok

You can. This is for community consumption. :)

I see you did more work. Looks good. :aok

Thanks, FLS. Do you think HT will host it? :)
-
Not if it says "Encouraged by FLS" :devil
I'd prefer it to say updated by Arlo instead of edited, if you want your gameid on there.
The trainer site is nominally player supported but right now I don't have access. The issue is simply the password and someone who knows how to switch the pages, so hopefully it's not a problem.

Updated (some more). :)
-
I checked old messages and it turns out that the password issue surfaced when I wanted to upload Oboe's updated Target Hardness Chart. The forum link is dead but I may have a copy somewhere.
-
I'll leave this page up as long as you like. Be advised, I tend to be a frequent page tweaker. :lol
-
Keep in mind we want to minimize the burden on Hitech. The trainers were part of Skuzzy's job and he didn't have time for the website either which is why Kanth was helping me.
-
Keep me apprised. Removing unneeded errata is easier than adding it.
-
I'm seeing a lot of formatting issues now, pictures covering text, the damage chart not fully visible. Using Chrome.
-
Interesting. Let me look and see if my display settings on my PC are compressed or expanded.
-
Looks good on this end. :headscratch:
-
Just out of curiosity, when you hit 'ctrl +' or 'ctrl -' does it indicate that your screen resolution is more than 100% or less than and not right on 100%? That's the only way I can duplicate what you describe. WIX operates as a website engine (I don't code - I merely use their tool to design). The images overlay the text and I either add space or subtract it to make specific room for them. I try not to save and publish between edits until I correct all apparent errors but occasionally I miss a few. I've gone over the last adjustment with a fine toothed comb and all appears proper at 100% screen resolution. I use Chrome, as well, and I must remember to refresh the page between views if I've made any adjustments.
-
The pictures and text change size together without affecting the formatting. I checking scaling too and changing it doesn't make a difference.
I tried it with Brave, same results as Chrome. With Edge it's a little worse.
I don't do web master stuff so no idea what's up. I do appreciate your efforts. :aok
-
I'd hardly call myself a web 'master' (though I suppose anyone maintaining a website is technically such). My screen resolution is set to 1680 x 1050 (which is what is recommended for my monitor). I was of the impression that WIX sites should display properly across browsers and base resolutions. What puzzles me is your having seen the site before and it appeared normal.
I'm plain flummoxed. I suppose it might help with additional feedback from others though it may be better if a more experienced web designer could peek in and give recommendations.
:(
-
OK now ctrl +/- is changing the formatting with Chrome so we're seeing the same thing. No idea what changed that. The pages on the training site do not change format with ctrl +/- so it is still a problem.
Also, even when I set it to line up properly, the first chart with target hardness is not fully displayed, like the picture is slightly bigger than the frame.
-
Well, one thing that is different between the training site and my WIX page is the existence of a .PDF file. With WIX I don't have to use such. However, all of the information is there and should someone want to, it could be incorporated into a .PDF. I'm not entirely sure that is the crux. I do suspect that the images on the TS aren't merely overlaid but incorporated so changes in resolution don't matter at all. The first chart is slightly cut off on top.

Thank you for your efforts Arlo, but I am seeing the same issues that FLS is seeing. I see the pictures a little to high in position on the screen which covers text of the prior paragraph.

Have you tried sitting 'ctrl +' or 'ctrl -' yet?
-
I use Firefox and your images are sitting higher or lower out of boundary covering the leading or trailing text boxes. I even looked with IE11 and ctrl- which shows it starkly how out of alignment. With Firefox I did the same thing ctrl- and unlike IE where the pictures were all sitting on the text box above them, about 2\3 were sitting above, 1\3 on the text below.
You have a picture box alignment issue on the whole page.
-
Welp. Shows normal here at 100% screen zoom at normal resolution. Been using WIX for years. Guess I gave FLS my best and it just wasn't good enough.
Some of my other WIX sites:

I show the same thing. If you drop the page down to 40% the pictures line up right.
Looking at the source fill for the page it almost looks like Wix puts the images on a second layer. Most likely called by a javascript. I didnt dig it apart, but thats my guess.
-
Yes, the images are on a second layer. That's the nature of WIX's engine. I'm gonna hafta think outside the box for an unspecified period of time.
-
I spread the text to make larger gaps for the images to fit. I'm iffy on the results for you guys.

I don't think that's the best solution.
It's a good start so far, don't be discouraged. It just looks like WIX is not the right tool.

If you have another to recommend, I'll try it. :salute
-
I don't know anything about web design programs but did you notice the joomla link at the site on the bottom of the page?
-
thanks. actually i was most interested in the new HQ hardness. ty
-
Chart says town buildings cant be re-supped. Thats not right is it?
-
some of the info on the page is out of date. town buildings CAN be resupplied.
-
It's an old chart, hence the update started by Arlo.
-

The chart can be corrected. I'll change he resup of towns to yes. Has anyone knowledge of the new HQ damage to destruction?
-
HQ damage requirements should be visible in arena settings.

:salute Aye, sar! Thank ye.

If you open a terrain offline and go into the objects settings and hit save, it will produce a terrname.dod file with the following about down times in minutes and hardness(lbs of 1000lb bombs to destroy). It has not changed much aside from Hitech's adjustment for the HQ fiasco at the end of AH2 and some AH3 objects.

The hardness are list in game. Look in Arena Setup/Objects/Object Settings.
There are also some variations to object types hardness listed in Arena Setup/Objects/Shape Settings those are the battle ship CV and Cruisers.
