Hello, all! :aok
Time to pick the June, 2019 Scenario.
Please choose one of the choices below. Voting will stay open for about two weeks.
Feel free to talk about why you think your choice is best or why some other option is not a good thing to pick.
Once voting is done, though, the choice is made, and it will no longer be the time to talk about how people shouldn't have picked what they picked.

A. Midway. Carrier battle and attack of Midway. F4F, SBD, TBM, maybe Brewster vs. Zero, D3A, B5N.
B. Patton's Gambit. Late 1945/early 1946 US vs. Soviet "what if". Fighter combat, level bombing, attack missions. Estimated plane set: P-51D, P-47M, P-47D-40 attackers, B-26 vs. Yak-9U, maybe Yak-3, La-7, A-20, Tu-2.
C. Anzio. USAAF vs. Luftwaffe and Regia Aeronautica in Italy. Action will be air combat, level bombing, attack missions. Estimated plane set: P-38J, P-47D-11, P-40F, Spitfire VIII vs. Bf 109G-6, FW190A-5 or F-8 (tbd), JU88A-4, C.205.
D. The Battle of Tali-Ihantala 1944. Finnish Air Force and Luftwaffe vs. VVS in the Continuation War. Air combat, level bombing, attack missions. Estimated plane set: La-5, Yak-9T, maybe Yak-9U, P-39, Tu-2, Il-2 vs. FW 190A-5, Bf 109G-2/6, Brewster, Ju 88, FW 190F-8.

This is tough. I brought the what if scenario to Brooke during the last scenario about Operation Unthinkable. I am 50/50 between A and B. (Midway and Patton's Gambit)

I vote A
Not B because I think the B-26 is going to be a very tough target for most soviet planes. Also if I think about "what if" then Yak 3 does not cross my mind.
Not C because bomber pilots just flew in a Ju-88 and it was in Pantelleria as well and got slaughtered few times in both Scenarios.
Not D because bomber pilots just flew in a Ju-88 and it was in Pantelleria as well and got slaughtered few times in both Scenarios. Ju-88 spots were not easy to fill up in Nuisance raids so I assume Tu-2 would be first choice and it would be difficult to get the Ju-88 filled. Also Brewster seems too slow to be fun here, I think earlier time would be better for that with maybe some planes being available on both sides as a large number of different aircraft were flown including many captured ones.

They all sound fun to me, slight preference for C.
Due to a couple of fighter choices on both sides that I think would be especially fun to fly.

A (if we have 62 players or more, estimated), else whatever works best with fewer. I cant imagine why people wouldn't want to be at Midway though!

Important note.
Midway is a side-switch battle, for same reasons that Coral Sea is. (Teams Alpha and Zulu, Zlpha as US forces for 2 frames, Zulu as IJN forces for 2 frames; then vice versa for 2 frames; just like Coral Sea.)
Folks are free to change their votes if they want, and the end of voting will be extended.
I will also PM all people who have already cast a vote, so there is no possibility of someone missing this announcement.
I should have had that in there at the start, of course. So it is a mistake, but now it is corrected.

Why not combine Coral Sea and Midway? The planes are the same, except the B.239 - which should not be at Midway anyway.

No offense, but PTO scenarios are akin to two obese people fornicating, slow and disgusting. I can see once a year, but twice, maybe there is some underlying issues afoot?

Yeah, people who only wanna see PTO once or twice a year, likely the latter. Never mind that we could work up a late one that has all the Japanese late war monster planes in it (under the same mindset as Patton encouraging the U.S. to team up against the Soviets in a post-war scenario). :D

Well Boomer, the PTO was a side show to a side show. Less then 5% of the aggregate insudrial resources and man power were delegated to the PTO. To break it down Barney, I mean boomer style that’s 1/20. We had a uneventful 12 hour in January, I was hoping that would cross the PTO off for a couple years.
