Title: Hell map offline mission request
Post by: TUK on February 20, 2009, 07:58:04 PM: Hey USranger. I was wondering if it would be worth your while to make me off-mission.
I used to play 8-player and we used the (HELL) map all of the time. I would like to make it very simple, with a low amount of planes.
I have been enjoying shooting air to air rockets in the 110g. Perhaps I could get a 110g and a 190 with the rockets against 3 sets of b17's meetining in the bottleneck.. If interested pm me, if not will be no skin off my back.. TUK151 :salute

I'll do it if you want me to. Might take a week or two. I'm working on two mission requests from people to make films from, and trying to do some soundpack work. Sounds cool though, something really different. I like that. :aok

As I suspected, the map got all messed up from not being updated after the last terrain update. Here's what it now looks like. Notice a lot of the terrain is wrong now:

Raptor01 created the original map and only he has the .oba file to open this map up and update it. I don't know if he's even around anymore. I'll see if I can remake it, but updated. The textures & such will be new, but I'll try to copy the original's layout as best as possible. That way you can still get what you were requesting. I'd just rather make one than make a mission on a map that now looks like this one does (as in the terrain tiles not up to date).

Ya know, I think this was the first map I ever downloaded in H2H thinking back.

110G-2s & 190A-8 vs. ? is what I'm thinkin TUK.

Vs. 3 formations of 17's or 26's both give me the most probs. they number of bombers is up to you. Just want good pratice with the rockets then go in an finish off stragglers. A quick, kewl, practice mission.. :rock

I've dropped this terrain into the Beta and I can see the work it's gonna take to update every single custom terrain I've done to the new standard. The more terrains I put out, the more I'll be fixing soon. We'll see. I might just get a hair up my butt and get it out there soon. People will have to be patient with me though when the new version comes out while I update the terrains.

In the old hell map, one side was hell and the other was not. Did you make it all hell?
Btw, on the old hell map the rooks had a v-base in the middle under a tarp. The base had a tower that had a platform on top. This tower spawned anti-aircraft vehicles. You remember that? I dont know if you could send bombers over that for wirble and osti training. Just thought i would let you know.

ya bugs I downloaded a couple missions today first yours and they flew fine, then a couple others and now when I click "practice missions" on clipboard game crashes :cry any clue? im thinking just go delete the ones that are not yours:-)

also man this "hell" one seriously looks awesome, I am very much looking forward to it :salute

Starting with version 2.14, a bug in the clipboard causes a crash if the offline mission name is too long.

Let us know if this solved, or was not your problem.

While downloading the last game update, I had a catastrophic error that erased all my custom stuff. :cry Terrains, skins, missions, etc. I had to download a fresh install of the game. Luckily, this terrain was on a flashdrive & was saved, but I lost the skins & the mission. The skins are redone, but I have not started on the mission again. It's a big friggin mission & will take some time to complete. This will probably be my last offline ,ission terrain until I finish the MA terrain I'm working on, but I'll make sure to do this before really diving into that project. :salute

I thought about posting it in the bugs forum. but by then nobody else had reported the same & I'd already installed a fresh AH. Felt kinda weird downloading my own sound pack & some other stuff tho. :o

Sorry it took so long to finish. I've been working on the mission. Should be done pretty soon. Gonna try & go epic with this one. :)

We have 5 kids, ages 5 & under (3 hers, 2 mine), and with the doubling of my family size, any computer time is extremely limited. I haven't been able to work on any AH projects. We are trying to get a routine down so I can have some game time, because I'm becoming a serious grouch without my stress relief & I'm driving everyone crazy. I have one side of the mission finished, just need to do the other side & add the goodies (that I already have ready). Expect it in the next couple weeks.

6 kids 15 and under :lol

enjoy them whlie they are young :aok

cuz the older they get the more irritating they get :D
