Here's a couple crazy facts to put time in perspective.

Egyptian Pharaoh Cleopatra lived closer in time to the creation of the internet than to the building of the Pyramids.

Tyrannosaurus Rex lived closer to now than to when Stegosaurus lived.

One comment had me rolling:

"The last words I understood were ‘observable universe’ subsequently followed by a series of brain-melting numbers and terrifying blue cubes."

 :rofl

Pretty cool. By their calculations we are just getting started.  Trying to figure how long my energy has to wait for the next big bang. Lets see.. ((((10)^10)^10)^56)-13,000,000,000= um says "err". So there you have it, Err real long time.

Interesting, but hardly relevant to day to day life. No matter what science does, finite man can not fully understand the concept of eternity and more importantly, God.  :old:

To be fair, if you got even close to understanding or visualising the scale of the observable universe you are doing better than me

If you take science scales and reconcile them to Genesis all the animals were made 'yesterday,' and God is still resting on the seventh, OR we are just beginning the eighth day.

So much for "time."

 :headscratch:

Yeah. And lots of other points too!

One thing that's not a assumption.  These numbers are wrong. Not so vague it can be right, simply wrong because of limited knowledge.   On such a large scale, 10^10^10^56, one little mis step in the math can send the results to the moon when the target was the ISS. Plus, so much we dont know; to the point, anything is still possible.

This kind of highlights the true threat of a "dark ages" period.  That's defined as an era where not only is the ability to do certain things lost, it's forgotten that we ever knew how to do it in the first place.

Mankind is ever on the verge of another dark age.  Even today there are monumental tasks that our grandfathers and great grandfathers accomplished, that are effectively impossible now.  At some point they regress into mythology.  More than one librarian spends sleepless nights worrying about bitrot and expired internet domains causing critical information to be lost forever.  Could we build the saturn V rocket again?  The Boulder Dam?  Why is there a resurgence in the publication of books about how to live independently on your own land without technology, using "lost arts" that everyone used to know as a matter of daily life?

You must not be in flight training yet.... lol. After you get past about 20 hours the miracle part becomes less.....miracle like
