For those of you in the area, I thought you should know that Saturday morning, 17 Jul, the National Museum of WWII Aviation in Colorado Springs will be hosting a program on the P-47 and its role in the Battle for France. The Museum's own flyable P-47D-40 will be present, and will be flown, weather permitting. This is a great opportunity to see this mighty aircraft up close and watch her fly.
Tickets are $15/adult for the event, which is also your admission to the museum.

Come out and support WWII aviation and help keep these magnificent birds in the air.

Thanks for posting Oboe. Nothing like the sound of a PW2800! Sounds like power!
