CH Fighterstick :rock
My hand has been glued to it since the day I got it 6 years ago.
I heard something about the company changing hands and the build quality might have become lower since I got mine, no idea if it's true though.

Saitek AV8R. Saitek ST-290 in the closet as a backup. After burning through a half dozen or more Saitek sticks in a couple of years this one just won't break.
Next stick will be a Thrustmaster T-16000.
Prior stick was MS Sidewinder 3D Pro (lasted 13 years and was only retired because I built a computer without a joytstick port).

I'd like to see you use that stick with one hand! AFAIR it's a two hands on stiffy.

Yeah... That's not a real stick but photoshopprd of a real one that DOES have all the dials and buttons on the base.... russian company called VKB.
I do, however, use something close... VKB Fat Black Mamba with the Thrustmaster Warthog handle (via an adapter).

That look's like a cool stick . I got to get a new one but just can't decide on what I want .

Started out with a Logitech 3D Pro.
When it got sloppy and lost two buttons I bought a second one and used the first as a throttle; and other things.
Next I bought a CH Pro Throttle to replace #1, my poorman's throttle.
Saitek Combat Pro Foot Pedals came next. I liked the wider stance they have over the CH pedals. I'm 6'4" with a size 13 foot.
Then a CH Fightertick to replace #2 3D Pro stick.
One piece at a time; somewhere along the line I also added a TrackIR5 with Pro Clip. :old:

P.S. I modified a Rodger Doger Aviation PVC simpit design to hold it.
P.P.S. If you are not familiar with Rodger Dodger Aviation, I advise people to check it out.

I've always been on the cheaper side... After a couple of Logitechs I got the Thrustmaster TopGun Afterburner, the predecessor of the TM HotasX. Was happy with it until I was let to try the T16000M. Now I'm using the Afterburner as throttle only and the 16000 for stick. I have a Saitek R440 wheel whose pedals I used to use until I finally invested to the Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals. The only thing I can think about to alter would be modifying the stick part of the Afterburner into a box of buttons, but since it's still fully intact I've been hesitating to rebuild it.
-
Right now I am using the X 55 Rhino but for a long time I was using a Thrustmaster cougar with the magnet mod and a X65 throttle. Had no problems with the earlier just wanted a good full setup with the Saitek Pro pedals I have.

Up until last week I was using a CH gear, must have been the new generation stuff because I had nothing but problems with the stick and then the throttle started to act up so they are now shelved, still using the pedals for now.
I sold a lung and went with the Warthog, so far I have been very impressed with them and the software, the stick is a little stiff but I am getting use to it.

CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, and CH Pro Pedals. Great equipment that gives me little trouble. The only issue I have had is with the throttle becoming "uncalibrated" too often.

My issue is the stick becoming un calibrated.....I think I need a powered USB hub

Fugi, how do you keep your chair from moving when you use the pedals?
I use a rubber mat for both pedals and chair. :)
-
I always circle back to CH for AH. I just find that the stick and it's easy resistance free movement is the fastest and most precise for me, in a game where gunfighting and precision/accuracy is of paramount importance. For other stuff, such as DCS, I usually run my Warthog setup. I still haven't tried the x55, but I hear good things, and for the price it doesn't seem too bad at all.

I would be so confused I would shoot myself. LOL
I use ch fighterstick (the 2nd one after wearing out the one that I won at the Indy con), ch throttle, and Saitek rudder pedals (my ch pedals got crushed in the truck when I flew from the 18 wheeler)
I am going to have to buy another ch fighterstick as this one is wearing out and the throttle is wearing out now but it is circa 2002 so it is time.

CH trio is my primary. No trouble in 6.5 years except a dirty pan pot in the throttle a few weeks ago. Blew it out and it's now fine. I highly recommend the fighterstick pro-throttle and pedals. I am not using the programming software because Aces High does it better internally (IMHO).
I recently bought an X-55 Rhino. I've only used it for a couple of weeks but I really like it. I'm not so keen on the Saitek's gimbal spring design (joystick) as I've had smoothness issues in their earlier sticks. We'll see how this one works over time. I am probably goofy, but I like the programming software for the stick and it works very well in Aces High.

My hand has been glued to it since the day I got it 6 years ago.
I heard something about the company changing hands and the build quality might have become lower since I got mine, no idea if it's true though.
Had to replace my CH combatstick (6 years) the right Hat Switch went dodgy. The new stick seems very sensitive and calibration doesn't seem as accurate as the old sweat encrusted one. Still going to get around to opening the old one up and replacing that hat. Todo list is getting longer and time shorter, guess that happens when you get older :D.
-
You know, I've heard that from several people, and Semp the most often, that newer more recent builds of CH stuff has been a little flaky. That's concerning hearing it yet again from Bruv the FPH, who is also a long time CH supporter. Any more feedback or intel you can give regarding the new stick and problems with it?
-
the problem with all my ch fighterstick going back about 4 years is that they will lose calibration in a battle. it happened to me often enough to where I wish the achievement had been available back then.
I got the x-55 rhino and have yet to lose calibration. keep in mind that I have always used a self-powered hub.

My latest CH stick is also not up to par with the last two that I've owned. If I center the trim wheels, the stick will never achieve proper calibration through Windows (CH Manager) or AH. It's been that way for over a year, so I just deal with the annoyance, but it was a disappointment after not having issues with the other CH sticks over the years.
