Hi all,
Updated as prompted the game but at the end of the process I get an error window stating the "patch failed for the following files: C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\model.res"
Game then crashes to desktop after I select the Open melee arena (or any other arena to that effect). Windows 10 on a BootCamp MacBook here.
Any pointers to effective remedial action would be greatly appreciated, merci beaucoup !
All best,
Marc

At a guess, I'd say check to make sure the AH files are not "read only". Hard to say what a Mac might do.
If that doesn't fix it, be sure to come back and say.

Thanks for the input. Checked that all files in the Aces High folder can indeed be modified but to no avail. I just applied the latest ptach without error message but end up with the same ctd phenomenon. Background sound during load-up suddenly stops and the application freezes until it crashes.

I am trying the uninstall - reinstall method.

Fixed it, everything nice and dandy!

Same issue today, patch installs incorrectly. Don't want to uninstall whole game and spend all that time configuring stick again. Just don't have time.

Save your settings folder someplace so you can copy it back when you need to.
Hitech posted a link to the stdshapes file in another thread if that's your issue.
You can also try rerunning the update from the AH temp directory.

Thanks FLS for always helping the players. :salute
Uninstalled and reinstalled game.
Tried to add saved settings file but caused an error during launch
Uninstalled and reinstalled game again.
Game is still launching and not responding
Lost my game time due to an corrupted patch I guess. :headscratch:

If there's an issue with the settings folder you can just copy back the .jsm files for the stick setup.

Still crashes on start, E mailed support for help. Error log showing libcef.dll causing issue during program initialization.

I was able to start Game today normally after quickly disabling help and training Video window at start-up. Not sure if that was causing problem with windows.
