update freezes and says can't download after press button to okay it

Whew. I thought there was another patch released today. This is the previous one. Works, still, here. You may have to uninstall then reinstall. :old:

Haven't logged in for a couple days but what do you mean by "Previous one"? Is it letting you fly on a previous version? It doesn't give me that option and the update / download fails every time.

Patch 12 came out and there were a couple issues and Hitech quickly came out with patch 13.
When I did the update there was one file that took a long time to DL and install..... a few minutes even on my quick connection. Maybe just let it run longer?
The full download on the web page says patch 7 so it doesnt look like grabbing the full DL and installing over your existing game is an option right now.

Then back to first screen with online option greyed out.
Only been flying sundays for awhile....arrrrrg......need flight :D

Thanks Fugitive, I let it run for 15 mins after prompt for download of patch but still not working. Rebooting system now and will try again.

Same here unfortunately... there isn't anything on the Downloads page that can help either.

Exact same problem here that Skywarp7 is having. Been trying at intervals for over an hour now to download the update. Giving up and hoping for better luck tomorrow night. :headscratch:

I clicked on down load full game. I didn't delete anything, just DL'd again and it got me in. Half fps 90 to 45-50 but atleast I got to fly. Did it overwrite it, or do I have AH on my computer twice and that's causing issues?

My Squad having same issue. I do not see a reply from High Tech yet. Hopefully we will get some answers tomorrow on this.

Makes me wonder if folks that got that Patch 12 were able to successfully update. I haven't been on for several days so I definitely missed patch 12.

Which by the way, is why I went out to the downloads page looking for the chain up update files (might be nice to have). :aok

I Just tried the update again just now at 10:30am CST and it worked.
Looks like they might have fixed it

It still isn't working for me. It almost completely downloaded and then I got an error message: initialization failed with -9 mainWLD_FAILED -1. Now every time I try to start the game, it automatically comes up with that error message. :bhead

Normally when you get that error you should download the full game and install it as they say here

As Im not sure if the main web page download link has been updated to the newest version I'd suggest going to your "temp" folder in the aces high folder, mine is here (default)
C:\Hitech Creations\Aces High III\temp
Double click to newest EXE file to start the update. However, if that file is corrupt it may not help.

Was able to get back at it last night
Downloaded and installed first patch
Then it automatically went back and installed a second patch
Game worked somewhat okay.. I still suck - so the patch reallt didn't help all that much :)
