actually , never known Oldman not to fly aggressively. he's always been a very good and fun fight.

As for scores - well, as the movie goes, look who's talking.

As for taking away the scores - which seems to be a big issue - it really doesn't matter. War is what it is, not what you'd like.

I would appreciate a way of measuring progress - mine, like some interesting statistics that are kept - like kills/death and such. They are better pointers than being #7 - or #1.
If scores are an issue - remove them.
But invent a way of measuring progress, singly or any way that makes sense - and pleases the majority.

But a measure has to be there, if it isn't it will be just another DA.

Taking bases - well, the whole setup of CT is the same as the 'MA', adjusted & limited for historical conditions. So, what's the deal?
The DA is there for personal slugfests, why export that to the CT ?
Maybe get some hype up to setup a 'historical DA'. You may be surprised - it may happen and it even may work.

Finn-Rus - a grand map - I really enjoy it - except for the small detail that fights are 99% fo the time around the bases A1 and A4. And exclusively in the air. Up, shoot, die. Round and round.
End result ? umm ...

Have u ever been to some of those HH scenarios? Go in one. I've been in one or two - way back when I started. You may see the tendency this arena is pushed to reflected there.

How sad.

All i can do, then, is :rofl

DA makes then no sense - no scores there.

As it seems it mebbe makes more sense to continue - whenever or always (which I prefer) - in the current 'duel arena' that DOES count score, albeit incomplete and incomprehensible - the CT.

I may remind you, VW, that some days ago you were wondering why a pilot with 0.6 kills to death ratio - or 0.6 kills per misson, I really don't know or remember which - had such a high rank. I wonder at that also, but then, I do not score myself. The system does.

Mebbe we both are good at beating the system - different as we are. :D

Also, for your info, going into CT to retake bases - those VBases in the middle of 'green-land' ( V17 for example ) that curiosly are always red when I log on, do not twitch my score any, specially not upwards, even after taking those bases back alone several times. In fact, it is quite boring with no resistance.

2. Cold merge on initial pass
3. Same planes and fuel
4. Best of 5

agreed upon alt cap (usually 2k above base being used to up). alt cap not to be exceeded prior to acquiring icon. At icon anything goes except a HO on the initial merge.

Of course, same plane, same fuel for a pure duel, but there are times when mix-n-match are just as fun.

I usually fly allied, VWE usually flies axis.

Propose a recipe.

I propose the following :
You choose for 2 flights, I choose for the next 2 and somebody else chooses the last.
The selection should be among CT-historical setups used here, not MA type - ulitmately it is here the issue (OMG ! a REAL issue !)is to be decided.
It does not have to be you and me who selects planes, it could be our squads, but then, I guess we can agree to some impartiality here.
