Title: Need help on joystick calibration range.
Post by: fscott on October 17, 2000, 10:54:00 AM
I've had this problem for some time.  When I try to calibrate the stick, it does not take in the full range of the x,y axes.  For instance I can as I pull the stick back on its y axis, it reaches it's full range on the screen, but there is still a good 1/4" of pull left on the stick.  The opposite axes, get there too early.  What I need is a program I guess that will allow me to customize the legth of range for each side of each axis. I have tried Bob Church's CTF utility but it only decreases the range for each side of the axes equally.  In other words I need to say I want the left X axis to be this much and tehn the right X axis to be this much. Any utilites for that?

Solution: (1) New Soundcard

You may be able to correct this problem from the software side, but having gone thru this myself, I can tell you that it is best solved thru new hardware.
