Title: joystic fail ti initialize message?

howdy i have a interact digatal cyclone 3d (not usin the usb adapter) i installed a lot of new windows updates using the windows update utility (direct x 7.0 was part of it)and when i try to run ah i get the following message and the game seems to stop loading at this point

INITIALIZATION FAILED WITH -4 JOYSTICK FAILED -4

i have already tried uninstalling and re installing the j stick

it is a emachine with a 366 celleron and a voodoo 3 2000 16 meg pci. 64meg ram

this is the first prob i have had with the beta that i couldent find a work around for my self (SALUTE)

 -towd- can you calibrate the stick in the Windows applet?

 I also believe there is a stick config file you can delete in AH then re-do your stick settings.
 Try that if you can indeed see and calibrate your stick in Windows.

What Westy said.  It sounds like Windows isn't recognizing the joystick.
