Title: Apologies to the Mayor of Dunkirk
Post by: KCDitto on July 26, 2014, 06:11:56 PM
III./JG11 would like to extend our deepest apologies to the Mayor and people of Dunkirk.

After 3 years of hard work to clean up and remove all the gear and hardware the British left on your beautiful beaches in 1940, We the fighter pilots of the Luftwaffe intercepted a squadron of British Bostons and Spitfires and littered it all up again. I wish we could spare troops to help you with the clean up, but there is a war on. I can offer you and your people top dollar for the Aluminum from all the aircraft parts that now litter your beaches and city. Hope you at least enjoyed the show?

Perhaps you can use all the scrap metal to re-build the City at Roune at A122. City was flattened, and all 110G2 defenders destroyed. :D

Yea. We are going to need a lot of Brick and steel for that.. I was under the B-24's when they dropped and heard the explosions of the city going flat.  Very nice work on that   :salute

I ghosted that formation until was chased off by your P-47 escort. Had to land with damage.  again  :salute

See you all over Britain next Month, our turn to defend bombers    :x

  Nef,

To come to the defence of the defenders @ 122 we had a total of 16 110's with no 109's to help with the fighters and not
to take anything away from the attackers it was a well executed attack. To send in 10 to 12 Typhies to draw down the defenders
than bring in high bombers well done. I tried to avoid the fighters and wait for the bombers but it became apparent that was not going
to happen.
All said and done and no matter the outcome the Purple's Hearts will hold their heads up high, slap each other on the back,
and say what a good friggin time.

<S> It was well fought and you should be holding your head high, G3-MF was the initial group over 122. My group arrived with the bombers and it was pretty well clear although we managed to find 3 of the remaining 110s.

It could have just easily been us on the other end, that's why I fly FSO.
