It's funny, yesterday I had just lifted at a base and noticed a red icon chasing a friendly who had barely got off runway.
Red icon tried to turn with plane that was to be vulched, stalled and goes boom on ground.
I got prox. 10 seconds later, I get a pm on vox ranting and whining,lol. And a "bring it on",lol.
It always kills me how many cartoon tough guys there are, and the whines, especially when they FAIL due to own merits,lol.
Of course I won't mention names, but he's in "v" and it's one of the largest cities in Texas.
I do stupid stuff all the time playing. I die often. I'm not gonna blame my stupidity on someone else.
Suck it up, grab a new cartoon plane, drive on.

The best one I got from Dallas was when I rocket vulched his Dora/sank the flat-top when he was trying to land on a CV. He even told me how many kills he was going to land.
I said, "Sucks for you, I guess."

I find it funny that so many people on this board have no problem putting down another squad, yet are ready for war when someone says something negative about there own squad.
Most of the guys in the squad are like everyone else. They are just having fun playing the game. I play quite often, and I do not think any of you can say that you have seen me sending you nasty PM's. Actually, I salute most of you when you kill me and move on with my game.
This is the case with most of the players in our squad. As for Dogfight. I can say that he does not tolerate members of the Devils flying out there and disrespecting people. He recently booted a member for that very thing.
As for skill set or lack thereof. I am a terrible pilot and half decent tanker. I really just enjoy playing the game.. I do not understand Waystin how you can have some beef with one or two people from a squad, and paint everyone with the same brush..
Because you choose to put down every member of the Devils Brigade because you dislike a couple of them, should I then choose to put down every member of the Pigs because of this? I actually have had very good fights with you and members of your squad in the past.
I read about everyone not liking our style of gameplay. We take bases. Sometimes we get one sometimes we get our butts kicked, but we have fun playing the game our way... :salute

As for the leadership, and the bulk of the squad, no I do not have a lot of respect for their gameplay let alone their trash-talking behaviors. Your illustrious leader has never kept his word since the day he parted ways from me. And Yes I have known him for a couple of years now. Maybe longer than you. Tell me what there is to respect. Please?
With that said, if you want an invite into the Pigs let me know. You seem to be a decent sort with a like mind.

Thats the problem with being in a squad. The fun that gets poked at one member ripples out onto everyone. Your friends wont judge you for your squad, but you will have to defend your squad for the sake of one member on occassion, if you think defence is needed even?

I was totally unaware of this "PM'n" going on. I apologize on behalf of my squad for these occurances. If it happens again, I want to know about it and I want to know who is doing it. A screenshot would provide ample proof and disciplinary will be taken. <S> Sir
Dogfite, In the past I have brought this issue up with you before, and you told me to send screen shots because you didn't believe me. I sent you screen shots and a video I believe. Beyond that, many others are confirming exactly what I said. When are you going to quit standing up for this dweeb and do what you said you were going to do.... put and end to it.

I can tell off the bat that this is the source of the squade's woes. In reality, noone really "hates" anyone in this game. If you do then I suggest you take a long hard break to realize that this is a game and the so called enemy is just another keyboard warrior like you.
VDALLAS was my first CO years ago. When the squad was known as the "oreo" warriors and in truth..he really is a nice guy. We still encounter eachother and when we do, the PMs I have to say stay respectful.
He likes to compete, perhaps a little TOO MUCH for my taste as well as many others. You can never forget that things are not always going to be in your favor and showing the guys you are competing with that you are agitated from being beat only feeds into their ego.
PMs are just entertainment to me. They can easily get out of hand if a little one is near the computer or on it and thats where I draw the line. I certainly wish HTC can have a forum on these just alone to provvide entertainment for everyone else :rofl

I take back my previous comment. Last night I had a good time shooting down vPeople in my 262, 152 and Ki-61. Albeit half the time they killed me by hoing or ganging. :rofl
It was fun. Kommando Nowotny and AoM were having a blast for a while there.

POTW will go out of their way to get uppers...like saying on 200 that we are hitting a base or showing we are coming in a mass. We don't leave once we start losing our chance to take the base, we leave once too many knights show up.
Now VWoodi isnt a bad P51D stick at all, I like fighting him 152 vs 51D

They're all heavy in their F4U's and F6F's with eggs to drop the hangers and prevent any fight what-so-ever. Up a Tempest from the nearest airfield, come in high, and massacre the helpless hordlings! :rock :rock
Even someone as bad a shot as me can bag 5-6 before the cannon runs out! :airplane:

lol those are fun times, where else can you up a seafire from the airfield and kill 6 of them before your even up to speed, there attack was so skillful and precise that i was able to use the rearm pad and even got a proxy while rearming, oh what a clubbin

Although I agree with you somewhat, let's not spread untruths Uptown. The Pigs have about 58 pilots on their various rosters. About 40 of those are active. So at no time has any Pig ever had 100+ wingmen. Current record for most Pigs online at one time is 27. Far from the exaggerated 100+.

I've been PMed from them and never laughed so hard when I sank the CV with the whole squad chasing me. I even got a few kills before the got me. I have no respect for any squad that talks that much BS. It's not that we hate you just the way you act as a squad with all the unnecessary Pm's.

And I'll tell you why. It's because vDOGFITE is a great guy to fly with and a damned good strategist, and the rest of the squad is a fun bunch to fly with as well. That, and the Brigade takes bases and wins wars. Some other squads seem to find it more "honorable" to rack up kills by capping fields and vulching for hours without bothering to take the base and calling it "furballing", or by following up their failed attempt to defend a base by roaring in on the deck in 262s and vulching guys lined up for landing. How they find any honor in this is what I don't understand. :rolleyes: I guess you get your kills how you gotta. But I prefer flying with a bunch of guys who won't hesitate to sacrifice their individual score in order to work for a group objective.
I guess that's why there are so many other bish and even entire squads who like to get on our squad vox and fly with us. It was the same way when we flew nit. I'll take that as a better measure of our respectability than the twisted knickers of a few cranky old farts on the forum, half of whom rarely even play the game anymore.

Just landed a B-17 mission with a gazillion of damage points and two air kills. Instantly had someone* to PM me about my milkrunning ways. I wonder how it's a milkrun if you get home with two kills... particularly if you did fly empty over 4 rook bases instead of going home directly, just to get some to up and attack you :headscratch:
(*=member of a squad that not too long ago disbanded and "left" the game with some public crying and HTC insulting on the BBS, only to come back silently about 2 months later)

Excuse me but I think that you missed the whole point of this thread. This thread is not about challenges or who has the best Air Combat Pilots. It is about PMing someone when you get killed or some other childish reason. vDALLAS is my Executive Officer and my "Battlefield Commander". I have spoken with him on the issue of PMing and he says if HiTech has it as an option in the game, then it is to be used as such. I personally dont approve of it, however; he does have a point. It is not my style of play, but when weighing the abilities of my XO as a Battlefield Commander and whether or not to eject him for PMing, I choose to overlook what is an option (PMing) and what helps me Take Bases(My style of play), I choose the latter. Furthermore, if you are having fun with your "Perk points going up and the amount of perkys you get so you can fly your 262, then I say, "More power to ya", I am glad to help with your enjoyment of the game. Also, I don't monitor channel 200 and I don't want to know about my Squadees monitoring channel 200 for the simple reason that it eats up the text buffer and does no good at all except for those that love to talk smack. So, with that said, it is simple reasoning...You play your game and we will play our game and to all a Merry Christmas and to all..A Good Night!!! :salute

I will say this about Dogfite, he came on rooks a couple of weeks back and was not doing anything wrong. He got treated less than hospitable. If I remember correctly he mentioned the possiblity of coming to the rooks with his squad and he got tore up. I , personally did not have a problem with him. This game is alot like life, there are always going to be some people that we do not or care to associate with. Like, Dogfite, I would stick up for a squaddie. I brought them in and I have to fly with them and not everyone else. Sure, I make cracks about the vbrigade and I am pretty sure cracks are made about my squad. If, this make any sense to someone( :confused:). ahhhhh faaaafaaaa foooey....

As Dallas say's, its an option (not something I agree with, but there ya go). If he doe's send abusive pm's, you also have the option to report them to HTC. Do so, if it makes him stop, so much the better. If it doesn't make him stop, at least he'll lose his chat privileges for a while.
Dogfite, whilst I dont agree with your decision not to do something about his pm'ing, I get where your coming from.

Besides, some of the greatest fun there is to be had in the game is defending bases against these guys. They create fun. It's easy to whine about them and I am guilty as well, but they do create lots of fun and help build the war immersion element of the game.

Most of us don't waste time in the DA, Changeup. Plenty of fights in the MA and we aren't hard to find - we had some good fights with Pigs just tonight in Off Hours, all good fun. Instead of talking smack here, why not say it with bullets in Late War?

Dogfite is a good guy. Personally I've never had an issue with any of the V brigade, never been pm'd by any of them that I remember. And I love what they do because it creates plenty of targets who willingfully and knowingly put themselves into "easy kill" positions. So we lose a few bases to the red vTARD horde? WHO CARES????

That's spot on Batty. Also to add to that you'll rarely, if ever see the egotistical types at the lake. They know they'll get dispatched with a quickness and just can't deal with it. At least that's the way it's always appeared to me. The so called "duelers" all want a 1 vs 1.
I can count on one hand the upper tier MA sticks that I've seen at DA lake. You, Dodger, Soulyss and a few others but that's about it. It's a shame really because if more quality sticks like yourself would go there more often, it'd be a real improvement and learning tool for everyone there.

The DA is no waste of time unless you spend it at the Lake. The only way to get better is 1 v 1 someone that is better than you are and those fights can only be controlled enough to learn something in the DA. The MA provides nothing for a learning venue that is timely...up, fly 10 minutes, fight, die, reup, chasing alt fairies, etc etc etc. The DA is up, fly 1 minute, fight, die, reup. Your opinion is your opinion but the DA is no waste of time if you want to improve...or if you want to determine who is a giant blow hard and who isn't.

Your first paragraph is true, the MA mouths don't stand a chance in the choas of a furball.
I saw Lazs and Drex in the furball last week. I hunted Drex but he kept out-smarting me and killed me a bunch of times before I even knew which plane I was hunting. I think alot of the old hands from the MA do fly at the lake, they just don't make a big deal of themselves and often go unoticed.

I did address the situation and I don't have to report the findings of the disciplinary actions to anybody. I am the CO...and I report to noone. Furthermore; I haven't recieved any screenshots since that post to Ardy back in October. As far as I am concerned...the matter has been discussed and settled, so get on with your game!!! The reason the Muppets are able to intercept your guys missions and be incredible pains in the arse consistently is because we have spent countless hours fighting 1v1s in the DA, honing our skills as fighters, and becoming incredibly confident at fighting in close quarters. Not only that, but it gives you a better intrinsic sense on creating angles, aiming timing, and just general uberness. Not many players want to spend the time and effort it takes to become really good and effective in the MA and I totally understand that, but calling it a waste of time is off base.
If you wanted to, you could basically look at the DA as practice for the game, which is the MA.

I didn't read the entire thread but I've seen people posting about what easy kills these guys are who are, in fact, easy kills themselves even with their hoard squads; squads I've easily turned back single handedly and who play exactly the same as the squad they are bashing.
I've also seen people who complain about hoards stating that they like this squad because they provide easy kills. So now we have to define good hoards (easily killed) from bad hoards (not easily killed)? HT, please change the game mechanics to allow good hoards to exist but to deter bad hoards please.
Do people chime in just to type out of boredom? Does anyone actually have conviction (or even believe what they themselves type)?

I have only skimmed threw this thread but i must say i like it. I just got a vox pm from him the other day when he over shot my tempy and got his tail blown off. I just want to publicly send an open invitation to VDallas to meet up with me in DA if he really thinks he can teach me a thing or 2. Best out of 3 he gets 1st choice in rides and alt. But i'm sure he wont. Or he would just run to ack in there aswell
